Justin Long says that Vince Vaughn's Dodgeball 2 pitch is funny.

Justin Long says that Vince Vaughn has a funny idea for Dodgeball 2, and he hopes that the cast will get back together for a sequel.

Dodgeball star Vince Vaughn

Justin Long, who worked with Vince Vaughn in the first Dodgeball movie, says that he has heard a pitch for Dodgeball 2.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story came out for the first time in 2004. Vaughn played Peter La Fleur, the captain of the Average Joe's Gym dodgeball team, and Long played Justin, one of the team's other players.

Ben Stiller played White Goldman, the owner of the rival gym Globo Gym. Christine Taylor, Stephen Root, and the late Rip Torn played Average Joe's coach, Patches O'Houlihan.

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story was a big hit with critics and audiences when it came out, and it has become even more popular in the years since.

Even though it is a silly sports comedy, many of its scenes and lines, like "5 Ds of Dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge!" have become famous and are often used in other works.

So, people have been talking about a Dodgeball sequel for decades. Most of the cast hasn't said much about a possible sequel, but someone close to the film says one star has a pitch ready.

Justin Long told ComicBook.com that Vince Vaughn has a funny Dodgeball 2 pitch while talking about the digital release of the horror movie Barbarian.

Even though he said that a lot of the sequel's success depends on Stiller's return, the actor said that he hopes the sequel will be made, but he wouldn't say what Vaughn's pitch for the film is.

Here's what Long said:

Life is Short is a podcast I do with my brother. When Ben Stiller was on, I asked him about this because I had just worked with Vince Vaughn again.

Vince wrote this movie, which is kind of a parody of Christmas movies. It's called Christmas with the Campbells, and it's coming out in December. I've been hanging out with Vince a lot, and he's been telling me about this great idea he has for a sequel.

I don't know if he's told Ben yet, but I kind of set up the pitch because I thought I should help.

I would love to do it, and I hope it happens, but Ben told me on that podcast that he's a little nervous about making a sequel to something so loved and enjoyed by so many people.

It's a big risk because you don't want to mess up the original and you want something that's just as good.

So I think he's a little nervous about trying to recreate something that was very specific to that time, but I hope he comes around.

Vince is a very convincing person, so I just hope that Vince's idea will convince him.

I don't want to say what the funny idea is.

Could Dodgeball 2 still work after nearly 20 years?

Dodgeball-White-Goodman

Long's comment makes it hard to know what Vaughn would have in mind for a Dodgeball sequel.

Now that 20 years have passed, the question is whether or not Dodgeball 2 could still be successful. On the one hand, the original movie still has a big enough audience that it could probably still bring people to the theater, but on the other hand, Dodgeball 2 would have to be different in some ways from the original.

For one, Patches actor Torn died in 2019, and even though his character died in the original movie, it would leave the list short of one big name.

Also, the original Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story ended on a pretty happy note for the Joes, so it's hard to see why they would need to be back in the game.

Stiller's concerns about making Dodgeball 2 are also reasonable.

Just based on how long it's been since the last Dodgeball movie, it seems unlikely that a third one will be able to match the energy and flow of the first two.

But the fact that both Vaughn and Long are so excited about the future of Dodgeball is a good sign.

Now, all that needs to happen is for Vaughn to tell Stiller about his so-called funny idea for a sequel and see if that gets him to support Dodgeball 2.

The final cut of Avatar 2 isn't done yet, but the runtime is said to be over 3 hours.

Avatar: The Way of Water, the much-anticipated sequel from James Cameron, is said to be unfinished and have a runtime of over three hours.

Avatar 2

The final cut of Avatar: The Way of Water is said to be unfinished, and it runs for more than three hours.

When it came out in 2009, the original science-fiction fantasy adventure wowed critics and audiences with its stunning visuals and tried-and-true story, which people all over the world could relate to.

After a successful run in theaters, Avatar made more than $2.8 billion at the box office, making it the most successful movie ever.

Cameron finally brings the beautiful planet of Pandora back to the big screen after 13 years. The first of four sequels, Avatar: The Way of the Water, comes out on December 16.

Avatar: The Way of the Water takes place more than a decade after the Na'vi rebelled against the Resources Development Administration. It follows ex-Marine Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his Na'vi partner Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) as they fight for their family's survival.

Even though their characters died in the first movie, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang were also said to be coming back for more.

Weaver is set to play Kiri, the adopted teenage Na'vi daughter of Jake and Neytiri. Lang will play Colonel Miles Quaritch again.

A new report from Deadline says that the length of Avatar: The Way of Water is likely to be over three hours. This would make it at least 20 minutes longer than the first movie.

A previous rumor from an international publication said that the movie would be three hours and ten minutes long. However, sources say that this is not a true number because the movie's final length has not been decided.

Sources have also told Screen Rant that the final cut of Avatar: The Way of Water hasn't been finished yet, so there's no way to know how long it will be.

Is it right for Avatar 2 to last more than three hours?

avatar 2 flying

Cameron is also known for Titanic, a disaster movie with a big-scale love story that ran for three hours and 15 minutes and made $1.8 billion at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of that year and, for a while, of all time.

Titanic's success shows that a movie's length doesn't matter if its story keeps people interested.

Also, the original Avatar is still the highest-grossing movie of all time, and re-releases are putting it up against Avengers: Endgame. Cameron has been able to keep audiences interested for that long before, so it's likely he can do it again.

Since Avatar: The Way of Water will pick up a story where its predecessor left off over a decade ago and also set up three more sequels, it will have to do a lot to get people ready for what's to come.

The original Avatar was two hours and 42 minutes long, which was a good length for audiences around the world, though they may have been full.

Since Avatar: The Way of Water is at least 20 minutes longer, people may have to choose between drinks at the concession stand that are very different.

How Closely the Film Represents the True Story of Elvis Presley and What It Alters

The Baz Luhrmann movie on the director's life
Truth is a slippery thing for Elvis, therefore he often fudges the facts.
Nonetheless, the film stays true to history in a few key respects.

History of Elvis Presley as Told by His Fans
How close to reality does the film get

It's not immediately clear if the new Elvis Presley movie is based on a true event or how accurate the biopic actually is, but Baz Luhrmann's newest extravagance, Elvis, gives a typically showy look at the life of The King.
The film's real-life inspirations are evident in the cast, which includes Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, and a host of other actors playing actual celebrities.
But as with every Luhrmann production, authenticity takes a back seat to flash.
The topic calls for a method like this, therefore it makes sense.
Elvis tells the story of The King's rise from relative obscurity to global icondom via the eyes of Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks) in a sequence of flashbacks.

It's arguable that Elvis Presley doesn't give a whole picture of the relationship between Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker, which was tense at times but ultimately fruitful.
It's clear that certain moments are completely made up or twisted so that Parker may be portrayed as the villain.
The new Elvis Presley film also exaggerates other aspects of the singer's life.
Luhrmann's near-idolatrous tale requires some simplifications, both in terms of Elvis's entertainment career and his character.
Some of the major deviations from Elvis Presley's actual life are listed here.

There have been a number of alterations made to the Elvis Presley biopic, most of which concern Colonel Tom Parker.
In the film, Parker is shown as a completely self-centered and venal guy whose proposals would have led to disaster if Elvis hadn't intervened.
Early in the film, for instance, Parker tries to get Elvis to moderate some of his antics in order to appease more traditional audiences.
Similarly, he is seen attempting to insert Christmas music and sweaters into Elvis' 1968 return special.
Some of these false claims were as far from the reality as Hanks' heavily phony accent.

Author and music writer Alanna Nash, who published a highly regarded biography of Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis in 2010, is a reliable resource for information about those pivotal years.
Nash has disproved a number of Elvis's claims in an interview with Variety.
Despite Parker's requests that Elvis tone down his more risqué performance antics, Nash claims that Parker "loved it that Elvis performed what pulled folks into the huge tent."
She continued by saying, "In Parker's eyes, Elvis was just like the sassy carnival females, so the fact that he performed striptease like a man was a huge plus.
Tickets were sold because of that!"
The claim that Parker was intimidated by the government in an effort to curtail Elvis' problematic performances was also debunked by Nash, demonstrating the differences between the film and history.

Presley, Elvis, and the Way He Evolved

Elvis-Austin-Butler-Evil

Of all the liberties taken with Elvis Presley in this film, turning Colonel Tom Parker into a clear-cut villain stands out as the most glaring.
The new Elvis Presley film, in particular, takes some liberties with the genuine singer's formative musical inspirations and interpersonal connections.
For instance, Alanna Nash clarifies in an interview with Variety that according to the film, it is not true that all of Elvis' major musical inspirations were Black.
When stated in Nash's words: "As early as seventh grade, Elvis said that he was going to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, demonstrating that he was influenced by both black and white musicians.
Just think, as a kid he sang "Old Shep" in a talent show, and crooning about a dog that's already passed away is about as country as it gets." This demonstrates how simplistically Elvis describes the origins of Presley's indisputable skill.

Additionally, Elvis Presley the guy undergoes a number of transformations.
Baz Luhrmann's Elvis omits a lot of Elvis's complicated love life. This oversimplified portrayal of The King's romantic life includes his wife Priscilla in a major role but entirely leaves out his subsequent lovers Ginger Alden and Linda Thompson.
According to Nash, the film's portrayal of Presley's advances toward 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu is "sanitized," which is an argument in favor of a more realistic portrayal of the events. The relationship between Elvis and his manager has also been rewritten to make it seem better than it actually was.
Even Nash admits that the sequence in which Presley fires Parker onstage is fictional.
Even while it is undeniable that Elvis is not a documentary in any sense, it does give some insight into the guy.

Some of Elvis's past is questioned because of creative liberties taken with the characters.
The inclusion of songs by modern artists like Doja Cat and Eminem on the Elvis soundtrack hints that accuracy to the historical record is not a top priority for Luhrmann. Nonetheless, we must stress the significance of a few historical shifts that have a bearing on the plot of the film. The latest Elvis Presley biopic, for instance, centers on Elvis' close relationships with other musicians like BB King, although it's questionable whether or not they genuinely knew each other.
Nash elaborates in a another interview [via USA Today] that, "Elvis and B.B. knew one other, but they weren't very close.
It's likely that they briefly met each other at Sun Studio for the first time."

Just as some of the details of Elvis' backstory have been changed for dramatic effect, so too have some of the circumstances surrounding these incidents.
For example, it's not quite certain that Parker's gambling debts (which were obviously substantial) were directly related to Elvis' Vegas residency.
Like Elvis' Army career, which the singer claims was a method to avoid jail time for indecency, was actually more of a PR coup organized by Parker.
These are only a few instances of the ways in which the film embellishes the life of Elvis Presley for dramatic effect.

Henry Cavill Discusses His Aspirations To Play James Bond

In light of Daniel Craig's exit from the role of James Bond, Henry Cavill discusses if he would be interested in taking it over.

This unique artwork has both Henry Cavill and Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Even if the fate of the James Bond film series is uncertain, Henry Cavill has spoken up on whether he still wants to play the part.
After debuting in cinemas in the 1960s, the Bond series has seen several actors, including Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and most recently, Daniel Craig, play the iconic character of James Bond.
With last year's No Time to Die, an explosive entry that, for the first time in history, concluded with the death of 007. Craig played in a total of five Bond films before saying goodbye to the character.

After the release of No Time to Die, the next actor to play James Bond is still up in the air.
Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Tom Hiddleston, Richard Madden, and Henry Cavill are just some of the actors that have been mentioned as possible future Bonds.
The actor recently admitted that he was almost cast as James Bond in Casino Royale, despite fan pleas for him to play the role instead of Daniel Craig.
It is still unknown whether or not Cavill will be cast as James Bond given that Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have stated that the next installment of the renowned British superspy would be a full reworking of the character.

Cavill discusses his interest in reprising his role as James Bond in a recent interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via CinemaBlend).
The actor is much busier now than in the early 2000s when he was initially considered for the part of James Bond, but he says he would be open to at least having a conversation about returning to the position.
Read on for the rest of Cavill's commentary:

Yeah.
This is a really hectic time for me, so please excuse my absence.
I adore Mike G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.

I have no idea whether I am even being considered for the part.
To have that discussion, though, would be a lot of fun.
I hope I am, but if I am not, I am still interested in seeing what they do with it.

In many respects, Cavill was the ideal choice to play James Bond, but the actor's career has progressed so much since he was initially considered for the part that it may no longer be a suitable match.
Although he had some notoriety in the early 2000s, he became a global superstar after the release of Man of Steel in 2013 and his subsequent performances as Superman.
Broccoli and Wilson have said they want an actor who can commit to the part for at least a decade, so it's feasible that taking on Bond might interfere with his ability to portray Superman.

Although Cavill has many of the characteristics that make up a more classic Bond, Broccoli and Wilson's intention to redefine the brand with James Bond 26 signals a departure from some of the more conventional parts of the role.
It's possible that the next Bond film would benefit more from a lesser-known actor who hasn't been widely fan cast in the part already if certain features were changed.
As for the future of the James Bond series and whether or not Cavill will be a part of it, that is still up in the air. However, he doesn't seem ready to completely rule out playing 007 just yet.

The Future Is Here! Merchandise

Back to the Future actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd have reunited to promote a new line of gear.
Since its debut in 1985, the science fiction adventure film has become a beloved Hollywood staple, inspiring a trilogy and new generations of moviegoers.
Lloyd is a veteran actor who has starred in several films throughout the course of his career, such as One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Clue, and The Addams Family.
Fox, who rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s with shows including "Family Ties," "Teen Wolf," and "Spin City," was just 30 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
But both actors have reunited throughout the years to celebrate the franchise's continued success as it embarks on an exciting new chapter.

Following rumors of a franchise announcement, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd have debuted their own line of Back To The Future products with an official web store.
Fox and Lloyd created the line of merchandize, which includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, baseball hats, posters, and mugs, with images of the actors modeling the items.
In a message posted on the website's front page, Michael J. Fox thanks the audience for their support.
"After hearing again and over that customers wanted additional merchandise to honor their Back to the Future fandom, we decided to make them available.

Although it's been over 40 years since the debut of Back to the Future, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd have reconnected on several occasions in recent years to celebrate the film's history.
In the wake of their emotional reunion at New York Comic-Con, the Back to the Future cast rushed to Instagram to tease a special surprise in the works, but they were careful not to give any specifics, eventually revealing it to be the exciting new merchandise.
Fans have shown a lot of interest in the reunions and posts, and celebs like Justin Long and Rob Lowe have added their voices of support and favorite lines from the movie.
Fox and Lloyd are both enthusiastically participating in the prank by citing the film in each other's social media postings in advance of the release.

The sequels to Back to the Future have been less well received over time, but the first film is still widely recognized as a classic of the genre and a showcase for its performers.
Fox's sarcastic sense of humor and Lloyd's frantic performance as Marty McFly and Doc Brown have aged nicely alongside each other, adding warmth and fun to the crazy and convoluted adventure storyline.
The film's "butterfly effect" message of transformation and optimism is universal, and the movie's quotable language and brilliance ensure that it will be enjoyed by people of all ages.
And in a time when '80s nostalgia is all the rage thanks to shows like Stranger Things, Glow, and The Goldbergs, Back to the Future looks to be quite at home.

Fox and Lloyd, now in their 60s and 70s, respectively, are wearing graphic tees and bright vests in these images, proving without a doubt that the spirit of Back to the Future has kept them youthful at heart.
Many people, from those who watched the film when it originally came out to those who haven't seen it yet, are likely to be thrilled by the new, massive collection of items celebrating the legendary science fiction adventure.
Whether it's via Huey Lewis's rousing 1980s theme song or Marty McFly's deft maneuvers on a skateboard, Back to the Future is a timeless classic that successfully transports viewers to another era.

As far as we can tell, Black Adam's producer has confirmed Atom Smasher's place in the DCU.

Hiram Garcia, producer of Black Adam, seems to affirm that Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher has a future in the DC Universe.

Without his mask, Noah Centineo stars as Atom Smasher in Black Adam.

Hiram Garcia, producer of Black Adam, appears to have confirmed Atom Smasher's future on DC Universe.
Several characters from DC Comics were introduced to the DCU in the debut episode of Black Adam on October 21.
Black Adam, aka Teth-Adam, played by Dwayne Johnson, was formally brought into the DC universe and given the title of the film when he attracted the notice of the Justice Society of America, a new superhero squad in the DCU (JSA).
Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, Quintette Swindell's Cyclone, and Michael Rosenbaum's Atom Smasher made up the squad (Noah Centineo).

Garcia recently posted a series of behind-the-scenes images from the set of the smash movie Black Adam to Instagram, including one of Centineo in his Atom Smasher suit on a staircase.
The caption appears to guarantee Atom Smasher's future in the DCU, with Garcia expressing excitement for spectators to learn more about the character.
Read on for more information:

Although Garcia's post shouldn't be seen as official confirmation, it does seem to indicate that the Atom Smasher from the JSA will return to the DCU.
Given the ambiguity of the JSA's fate at the end of Black Adam, this is great news, but it does beg the issue of when and where fans could next see Garcia.
More plausible than a cameo in one of the known forthcoming DCU films like The Flash or Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a cameo in a Black Adam spinoff or sequel.

A sequel or spinoff to Black Adam has not been officially announced as of this writing, but the film certainly laid the groundwork for more than one.
The DCU might create a JSA spinoff in the form of a program or film now that the JSA has been presented, giving them a chance to not only better establish the team in the DCU but also to extend it and examine characters like Hawkman, Cyclops, and Atom Smasher.
Both Garcia and Johnson have spoken publicly about wanting to make a sequel to Black Adam, so there is reason to believe that a sequel may be greenlit even if a spinoff isn't.
If so, that's the most likely way we'll see Atom Smasher again.

The Atom Smasher might also make an appearance in a Suicide Squad sequel.
Though it hasn't been officially announced, it's possible that the remake directed by James Gunn may receive a sequel, especially since Gunn is now co-heading the renamed DC Studios and the first picture was a critical success.
After getting into some issues with Black Adam, Atom Smasher was imprisoned and enlisted into The Suicide Squad in the comics.
Given that Centineo's Atom Smasher is so young and playful in Black Adam, it's unclear whether the DCU would continue this storyline, but there's plenty of room for the DCU to work in Atom Smasher's return, whether in a sequel to The Suicide Squad, another Black Adam project, or something completely different.

Black Panther 2 Director Told Us That Chadwick Boseman Was Excited About Playing Namor

Ryan Coogler, who directed Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has said that Chadwick Boseman was enthusiastic about bringing Namor into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Tenoch-Huerta-as-Namor-in-Black-Panther-Wakanda-Forever-1

Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has said that late franchise star Chadwick Boseman was excited about the inclusion of the kingdom of Talokan.
In 2016, Captain America: Civil War marked Boseman's first appearance as T'Challa/the Black Panther.
The 2018 standalone film he headlined, Black Panther, was a smashing success that established Boseman as a major player in the MCU and landed it at the sixth slot in the domestic box office's all-time list.
Boseman tragically passes suddenly in 2020 from colon cancer, and the focus of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has switched to be on mourning the loss of the actor and the character.
When Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and his people find themselves at conflict with Wakanda in the sequel, they become a new franchise character.

Coogler shared Boseman's reaction to the Talokanil people's entrance in Black Panther 2 during an interview with Entertainment Weekly's Around the Table video series.
The filmmaker claims that Boseman knew about the plans to incorporate Namor and his realm into the MCU and that he was "blown up about" the opportunity for Indigenous representation.
You can read what Coogler had to say about it down below:

"I had already talked to Chad [Boseman], and he was quite enthusiastic about that part of the screenplay [introducing Talokan].
To put it mildly, he became excited about it.
The first time we discussed include Native Americans in the movie, we were at a restaurant in Los Feliz.
He beamed broadly, as if to say, "They have no idea what hit them.
I can only describe it as "amazing.""

Each film in Phases 1 and 2 of the MCU has been led by a white hero, and the few characters of color who have appeared have been used mostly as supporting cast.
Along with this, the storyline of Captain America: Civil War relied on the suffering of Black individuals and communities (T'Chaka's death, Rhodey's paralysis, the Lagos bombing) which is a worn and problematic cliché.
That's why the release of Black Panther was such a game-changer for the series.

Black Panther achieved a lot of things well: it had a largely Black cast with a lot of ability, it showed off Wakanda's technological accomplishments, it broke stereotypes left and right, and it showed that the Black community is not a homogenous whole.
Since then, the MCU has made great steps in redressing past wrongs, giving more characters of color starring roles and promoting earlier supporting characters to the forefront.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier featured Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson as Captain America, whereas Armor Wars will focus on the life of Rhodey (Don Cheadle).

With the exception of Disney+, the audience for MCU features has shifted substantially with the release of Black Panther.
America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) made her MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings introduced the first Asian superhero to the fold with Simu Liu's eponymous character.
To that end, the MCU has made significant progress with its diverse representation, and it certainly intends to continue that in the next films and shows.
Boseman's dedication to continuing that legacy by supporting the introduction of historically overlooked indigenous cultures in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is remarkable, as is the likelihood that any of these uplifting stories would have been feasible without the popularity of Black Panther.

Avatar 2 Will Release In China

Chinese theaters have started showing Avatar: The Way of Water.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic, China has been intensifying its control of American films.

Many blockbuster movies, including every MCU film released in 2019, have avoided the area as a result, losing out on significant potential earnings.

According to Variety, James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water, the long-awaited sequel to 2009's mega hit Avatar, will be one of the few American productions to play in China during the epidemic.

On the same day that it debuts in the United States and many other countries around the world (December 16), the film will also open in that region.

The original was a big financial success, in no little part due to its IMAX release.

There is little doubt that Avatar: The Way of Water will be a huge financial success when it is released in 2022.

One thing that helps is that it is the long-awaited sequel to the picture that made the most money of all time.

In addition, early projections show that it will have an opening weekend that is twice as successful as the debut of the first Avatar in 2009.

While Avatar: The Way of Water's prospects are bright, the film will need to perform exceptionally well at the box office if it is to generate a profit.

The epic science fiction project has a price tag of around $400 million, making it one of the most costly films of all time; this does not include the massive publicity and advertising costs that a picture of this magnitude would incur.

According to the general rule of thumb for estimating a film's entire cost, the reported budget must be doubled, which in this case would bring the film's initial cost to roughly $1 billion.

Cameron has stated that the next Avatar sequel must become the "third or fourth highest-grossing film in history" to be profitable.

Although the first Avatar did well at the domestic box office, it has since been surpassed by other films like Star Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens, Avengers: Endgame, and last year's smash hit Spider-Man: No Way Home; the only reason it remains on top is the success it had overseas, particularly in China.

The territory's decision to allow Avatar: The Way of Water in is a major victory for the film, as China is a large market for American tentpole blockbusters.

It's possible that this boost will be the only thing standing between the sequel and box office ruination, and it could help the film become the highest-grossing American film of 2022, giving it an edge over huge tentpoles without Chinese releases like Top Gun: Maverick and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Black Panther 2's Ryan Coogler Writes Moving Letter Thanking Fans

Ryan Coogler, co-writer and director of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," writes an impassioned open letter to the movie's audience.
On Rotten Tomatoes, an aggregation of critics' opinions, the film has been given the designation Certified Fresh.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has received an 84 percent approval grade from reviewers and has made over $300 million at the domestic box office and roughly $561.7 million globally as of this writing.

Director Ryan Coogler has publicly thanked moviegoers and anyone who have helped spread the word about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His letter was released by Marvel Studios.
He then expresses gratitude to the audience for bearing with the film's long running duration, its use of many languages, and its dark subject matter, all of which he acknowledges may have alienated some viewers.
Here is a copy of the open letter that Coogler wrote:

Given the personal connection that Coogler established with Chadwick Boseman, it's difficult to picture anybody else directing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The choice to honor Boseman's off-screen death with T'Challa's demise was a strong indicator that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever would be a fitting sequel to the first film.
Coogler's personal experience with losing Boseman served as inspiration for one of the film's central themes.
Just like he had hoped in his open letter, the movie was a great way to get his feelings out.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever benefited from Coogler's direction because to both his thematic understanding and his familiarity with the Creed movies' impressive combat choreography.

For Black Panther 3, will Coogler be back?

Actress Letitia Wright as T'Challa in "Black Panther"
Black Panther: Always and Forever a Wakanda Man

Given his work on Wakanda Forever, Marvel Studios will probably make an effort to have Coogler return for Black Panther 3.
The studio will want to draw on his capacity for emotional nuance, which he shown in the first two films, because Nakia and T'Challa's son Toussaint's grieving journeys haven't been explored to their full potential, despite their intimate link to the character.
They don't appear to have any issues with Coogler's directorial or creative vision, so it's doubtful that they'll make any major changes to the formula for the third feature if it gets the go-ahead.
It's not official yet, but Black Panther 3 might be in the works in the near future.

Coogler and his creative team surmounted significant obstacles to deliver a fitting homage in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
As a fan, it warms my heart to see that Coogler is willing to share even more of his vulnerable side with his supporters.
Coogler was the perfect choice for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and he is the right option for future sequels, as evidenced by his expressing thanks and acknowledging the movie's many difficulties.

Henry Cavill's Superman Is Essential To DCU's Growth, Says The Rock

According to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who plays Black Adam, Henry Cavill's Superman is crucial to the expansion of the DC Cinematic Universe.
Cavill reprised his role as his version of Superman in the Black Adam film after being missing from the DCU (previously known as the DCEU) since 2017.
Despite the fact that it was a last-minute addition, the British star dressed up as Superman for a key moment after the credits rolled, in which he confronted Johnson's antihero.
Cavill has stated that this is only the beginning of his interpretation of the DC icon.

Soon after the unexpected digital release of Black Adam this week, Johnson rushed to Twitter to give a video message on the future of his series.
Johnson praised Cavill's Superman, but he didn't reveal any upcoming plot details or give any suggestions about what to expect in the next several years.
The actor who plays Black Adam, who said that Superman's presence in the film was a major battleground, said the following about Henry Cavill's portrayal of the character:

"It is imperative that we restore the universe's most potent and unstoppable force.
Yes, I'm speaking of Superman, a figure well-known to you all.
Henry Cavill, to be precise.
This has been years in the making, getting Henry Cavill back with strategic dialogues, and we weren't going to take no for an answer when the studio said they weren't bringing him back.
Without the most potent force and the greatest superhero of all time sitting on the sidelines, it is impossible in our opinion to construct the DC Universe as we would like it to be.
Where is Superman? is the question that will remain unanswered no matter how many times you draw a Venn diagram of the situation.
We pushed hard to get Superman reinstated because he is an essential element of the DCU."

While Man of Steel (2013) starring Henry Cavill as Superman was the catalyst for the DC Cinematic Universe, the franchise has continued without him with Justice League (2017).
Although Cavill's future involvement in the DCU remained unclear for very some time, the franchise continued to use Superman by having faceless body doubles perform the role in Shazam! and Peacemaker.
Despite the DCU's expansion with the introduction of new characters throughout the years, Superman has been severely underutilized, even going without a starring role in a standalone film since 2013.

Superman has always been the shining star of the DC Universe, whether in comic books or any other medium.
The DC Cinematic Universe (DCU) as a film series, and much of what DC has been and is now, would not exist without Superman.
In recent years, however, Superman has played a more prominent role on television because to Tyler Hoechlin's portrayal in The CW's Arrowverse franchise, where he serves as one of the series' main protagonists in Superman & Lois.
Superman's importance to the films is greater than ever, especially if a future Justice League film is to be included in James Gunn and Peter Safran's 10-year plan for the DCU.

There has been no official word from Warner Bros. Discovery or DC Studios, but development has begun on Man of Steel 2, and Cavill's contract is still up in the air.
Although Gunn and Safran have not yet revealed their specific plans for the DCU, Superman is clearly a major priority for their road map, so it is only a matter of time before more is revealed about Cavill's future.
In the latter days of 2022, we can only hope that the wait until 2023 to find out what the future holds for Superman and Cavill's involvement in the DCU is short.

Shuri & Namor Romance Possibility Addressed By Black Panther 2 Star

Tenoch Huerta, who plays Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, discusses the potential romance between his character and Letitia Wright's Shuri.

With the death of King T'Challa, the country of Wakanda must contend with Namor and his underwater realm of Talokan in this sequel to Ryan Coogler's critically acclaimed 2018 film, Black Panther.

Shuri assumes the Black Panther mantle in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and she soon comes into conflict with Namor and his forceful methods for protecting Wakanda.

The film has been well received by reviewers and moviegoers alike, with many praising Huerta's nuanced turn as the MCU's newest foe.

Huerta addresses whether or not there are romantic undertones to the relationship between Shuri and Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

Despite being at odds for the most of the film, Namor and Shuri appear to finally understand one other during a scene in which they go to Talokan.

It's been speculated by fans that these two characters have love affections for one another, but Huerta isn't persuaded.

Read Huerta's whole remarks down below:

"My impression is that it wasn't a romantic gesture on their part.

More of a human, personal touch, if you ask me.

I mean they have the same origin in the history of their kingdoms and their peoples, and the same source of danger.

Vibranium, a natural resource, puts them both in danger from Western powers like the United States and France.

They're similar in that respect, at least, my opinion.

If you meet someone and hit it off, it doesn't matter if they're your preferred gender or not; your connection with them will always be unclear.

This occurs naturally.

We may safely assume that it is human.

Consequently, I believe that this is what transpired with both of them.

If it's possible for it to develop into something romantic.

To be honest, I have no idea.

Nothing of the kind was intended.

Something like that might occur, but it might not.

The best aspect about this connection is that it doesn't have to be romantic to be meaningful.

Beautiful, bright, and intimate may exist without romance.

An intimate relationship isn't the only possible outcome of a man and a woman connecting on several levels.

That's so lovely, you have any idea?

Simply put, I can't stand romantic love.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's poison.

There's something they make up with these people...

I have no idea.

Even though it was enchanting, I wouldn't call it romantic."

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's success raises hopes for a Black Panther 3, but whether or not that film will actually be made remains to be seen.

Given that the film ends with Shuri accepting her loss and becoming the new Black Panther, it's possible that she'll find love in one of her future appearances.

Namor's future in the MCU is up in the air, but his relationship with Shuri, whatever its nature, could be explored further in either Black Panther 3 or another MCU film entirely.

John Wick 4 Has 3 Very Surprising Influences Reveals Director

The director of John Wick: Chapter 4 has disclosed that the film was inspired by three unexpected sources.
The first film in the John Wick series, released in 2014 and starring Keanu Reeves as the title character, followed his quest for vengeance against a criminal organization responsible for the death of his dog and the theft of his automobile.
This expanded universe of assassins has been explored in two sequels, with a third installment scheduled for release on March 24, 2023, and many spin-offs now in production.

Chad Stahelski, who has directed every John Wick picture since co-directing the first with David Leitch, was interviewed by Empire for their most recent edition.
Chapter 4 was inspired by an unexpected trifecta, as he said in our conversation: "if you took The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, combined it with Zatoichi, and put a Greek story into the mix."
He spoke enthusiastically about how much he enjoyed directing the series since it gave him the chance to blend so many different styles.
Here is the entirety of his words:

You may get something like this by crossing The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly with Zatoichi and tossing in a Greek story.
What other f—- says phrases like that?
You've finally figured out my secret passion for John Wicks.

When compared to the typical style of a contemporary action movie, Stahelski's common influences are somewhat shocking.
The first is the spaghetti Western The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly from 1966, in which Clint Eastwood plays the Man with No Name, one of three bandits looking for buried Confederate riches in New Mexico during the Civil War.
But zatoichi is a whole other form of creative expression.
The Blind Swordsman is a fictional character who was originally developed by Japanese writer Kan Shimozawa in 1948 and has since appeared in over two dozen films and one hundred episodes of television.

Modern action movies like Zatoichi also owe a lot to the samurai culture of Japan.
Considering that the subgenre also include the culturally seminal 1977 film Star Wars and more recent works like 2007's Sukiyaki Western Django, it's clear that projects fusing samurai and Western themes aren't all that rare.
The addition of Greek mythology, however, suggests that John Wick: Chapter 4 will take a very different approach to these themes than the previous installments.

John Wick: Chapter 4 has the potential to reach the pinnacle of the action franchise's already colossal nature if it takes the risk of turning its plot into true myth.
The film already has a massive scope as it follows Wick as he strives to overthrow the High Table as his worldwide alliances alter unpredictably due to the appearance of a new adversary.
However, these factors suggest that John Wick's universe will not only grow; instead, it will merge into a world of gigantic characters who are duty-bound to opposing groups, therefore bringing them into unprecedented confrontation with one another.

Superman's cameo in The Flash movie, played by Henry Cavill, has already been filmed.

Henry Cavill has filmed his appearance as Superman in The Flash, but it may not end up in the movie due to a reorganization inside the DCU.

Superman (Henry Cavill) with the Flash (Ezra Miller)

Henry Cavill's cameo as Superman in the forthcoming DC picture The Flash has already been shot.

Man of Steel (2013) marked Cavill's debut as Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe; subsequent films, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017), both saw him return to the character.

For years, Cavill's future with the Man of Steel was in question until he made a cameo appearance in the after-credits sequence in Black Adam this year.

However, James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new co-CEOs of DC Studios, have recently revealed intentions to make some substantial changes to the DC Universe. These changes might involve a significant re-tooling of the DC heroes cast in the early days of the DCEU.

The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, will be the next solo Justice League movie to hit theaters on June 16.

Cavill has reportedly already shot his appearance as Superman for The Flash.

In addition to Jason Momoa's Aquaman making a cameo, Henry Cavill shot his scene back in September.

Studio executives are allegedly debating whether or not to keep Cavill's appearance in the film, given that Gunn and Safran plan to make significant changes to DC in the coming weeks.

Superman's appearance may be scrapped if Gunn and Safran decide to completely remove Henry Cavill's version of the Man of Steel from the DCEU, with the goal of preventing DC from making promises it cannot keep.

No decisions have been made on whether or not Cavill's cameo will be included in The Flash's final edit.

DC still plans to release The Flash, a film that has been in development since 2014, despite the fact that the Justice League's future is unclear at the present.

Though Miller's legal difficulties have caused some concern for the film and Miller's character, and the film's release date has been pushed back multiple times, the June 16 premiere is still still set in stone.

The cameos of Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa, as well as Ben Affleck's Batman, firmly anchor the picture in the present continuity of the DCU and the Justice League.

DC fans were pleased to see Henry Cavill reprise his role as Superman in Black Adam, and his cameo appearance at the film's conclusion was welcomed with much enthusiasm.

Although this might build up Superman's eventual showdown with Black Adam in future DC films, Superman's presence in The Flash could be more comedic in nature.

In Justice League, Clark Kent and Barry Allen had a lighthearted rapport, and the film ended on a comedic note with the two of them racing across the United States.

To What Extent Will Henry Cavill Be Used in Future DC Films?

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, Superman looks up and back in bewilderment.

Due to the publishing of Cavill's Black Adam cameo before Gunn and Safran took over, it should not be seen as a guarantee that Cavill will remain a part of the DCU, especially in light of the several future changes that have been speculated upon.

Despite the excitement around Cavill's comeback, DC's future is unclear due to varying reports about the financial success of Black Adam.

In spite of The Flash's June premiere, viewers may not have to wait long to find out what the new DC Universe will look like, since Gunn and Safran are scheduled to meet with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav next week to lay out their new DCU strategy.

The Future of DC's Black Adam 2 Is Questionable

Black Adam 2 is unknown at DC Studios despite Dwayne Johnson's promotion of Superman's return and his position in the DCU.

Black Adam features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Teth Adam, who floats far above the city (2022)

There is some doubt that DC Studios would greenlight a sequel to Black Adam due to reservations about the film's financial performance and the fact that Dwayne Johnson failed to win over management.

On October 21, Black Adam debuted, making Johnson's Teth-Adam (a.k.a. Black Adam) casting official after the character had been linked to him since 2014.

Furthermore, Superman (Henry Cavill) returned to the big screen for the first time in five years in the film's post-credit sequence.

For this reason, many saw this as a setup for a Black Adam sequel in which Superman would finally have his revenge.

According to THR, DC Studios is no longer considering making a sequel to "Black Adam."

The success of the picture at the box office is a primary factor.

Despite generating $385 million at the box office, the picture featured a costly budget of $190 - $230 million.

With the budget, the extra expenses, and the profit split, Black Adam will, at most, only generate a little profit, certainly not enough to warrant a sequel.

Also, Johnson's attempts to take matters into his own hands by disputing Black Adam's box office reports and maintaining that his and Cavill's future positions in the DC are a done thing, supposedly haven't been well-received by management.

Many changes are on the horizon for DC, including the possibility that a sequel to Black Adam won't be made.

Fans had been promised a Black Adam versus. Superman film by Johnson after the release of Black Adam, since the concept behind the character, was to battle Black Adam against Superman.

But there are some disturbing changes in Black Adam 2 and Man of Steel 2.

Wonder Woman 3 has apparently been canceled, and many speculate that DC's new plan under co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran would also result in the cancellation of Man of Steel 2.

After Black Adam, it was speculated that a sequel will be made.

Black Adam vs. Superman seems even less likely if the rumors about Black Adam 2 being cancelled and Cavill's Superman not being a part of DC's new future are accurate.

Reasons Why The Black Adam 2 Can Still Work In The New DCU

Black Adam stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

In Black Adam, Dwayne Johnson plays the title role.

The DCU is experiencing radical changes, and one of them may be the retirement of several heroes from the previous administration.

Black Adam 2 may still operate within the parameters, though.

Despite the fact that Superman and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) haven't played prominent roles in the DCU in years, Black Adam is still new and exciting to viewers.

Another element that might lead to Black Adam 2 is Safran's status as co-CEO.

He not only serves as co-CEO but also as the film producer, for Shazam!

Deity-level wrath.

This might suggest that Shazam (Zachary Levi) will continue to be a part of Safran's long-term plans.

With Shazam and Black Adam being bitter enemies, it's possible that a Black Adam sequel will be made if both Shazam 2 and Safran's plans for the future of the DCU pan out.

Finally, Johnson's dedication to the project is encouraging since it means he won't give up on Black Adam 2 easily.

The fate of Black Adam is still up in the air; nevertheless, it is currently being seen as unlikely.

The Star of "Mad Max: Fury Road" Discusses the Harsh Environment of Filming

Charlize Theron, who played Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), said that making the movie was one of the most challenging experiences of her life.

Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in "Mad Max: Fury Road,"

Charlize Theron, who plays Furiosa in the film Mad Max: Fury Road, muses on the difficult conditions in which the movie was shot.

Tom Hardy plays Max in the 2015 George Miller action/adventure picture, while Charlize Theron plays Furiosa, a new character in the series.

Most of Mad Max: Fury Road takes place during a single extended vehicle pursuit, and it follows Furiosa as she tries to aid the wives of a cruel warlord by leading them to safety.

The movie did well at the box office and with critics, so the producers decided to make a prequel called Furiosa.

In a recent interview with THR, Theron reflects on her time filming Mad Max: Fury Road, which she called "one of the toughest of my career," as excitement grows for the upcoming Furiosa prequel starring Anya Taylor-Joy.

The actor acknowledges that the difficult filming conditions may have been exactly what was required for the movie to turn out as well as it did.

Read on for the rest of Theron's commentary:

Even though I stated, "Oh, as an actor, you want to be pushed," you don't want it to be that horrible.

(Laughs.)

The filming took a very, very long time.

I don't believe I'll ever accomplish anything again that requires that kind of stamina.

I have no idea how intensive the making of the prequel was, but I hope it was not too much like the original.

I feel terrible saying this because I never want any young actor or storyteller to think they need tragedy or sacrifice to be successful, but there was something about the circumstances around that film that I think gave it the magic.

This doesn't mean that similar circumstances will always present themselves, but I believe that the elusive "lightning in a bottle" actually occurred with that film.

However, it was really difficult.

Although Mad Max: Fury Road has received widespread praise as not just the finest in the genre, but also one of the best action pictures of all time, a genuine sequel has yet to be realized.

Mad Max: The Wasteland was said to be in production after the success of the original film, but there have been no official updates on the project in years.

Miller is currently in the post-production phase of Furiosa, but the plot he began in 2015 should be continued with Theron and Hardy reprising their roles.

When Max and Furiosa first meet, they are antagonists.

Due to their shared motivations, they form a hesitant alliance, but at the film's conclusion, they've amicably parted ways and Max has decided to pursue a nomadic existence.

Though many have speculated that Hugh Keays-Immortan Byrne's Joe would reappear in the prequel, played by Chris Hemsworth, the villain is actually killed off at the conclusion of the 2015 film.

Max and Furiosa may have to work together again to defeat a new enemy in the sequel, deepening their friendship in the process and giving fans a chance to learn more about Furiosa's rise to power inside Immortan Joe's society.

Hardy's straight-faced, man-of-few-words is perhaps best served when he is partnered with another more expressive character, however it would be intriguing to see a Mad Max: Fury Road sequel that instead focused on Max's life on the road in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

A sequel would benefit from exploring how each character has developed in the previous seven years, putting their on-screen cooperation to the test once more, despite the real-life conflicts between Hardy and Theron.
