All the Latest Information about Transformers 7

The year 2023 will see the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, often known as Transformers 7.

Learn all we know about the film adaptation of Beast Wars so far right here.

Here is all we know about the upcoming Transformers film, Rise of the Beasts, including its cast, release date, plot specifics, and continuity with the other Transformers films.

Paramount started the Transformers film series based on Hasbro's renowned toys in 2007 with Michael Bay directing and Shia LaBeouf's Sam Witwicky in the lead.

There have been five films in the main franchise, the last two of which Mark Wahlberg has led, and now the Autobots have a new path that will be continued in Transformers 7.

The next Transformers film will, for the first time, incorporate elements from the Beast Wars animated series.

After the disappointment of Transformers: The Last Knight, Paramount employed Bumblebee as a soft relaunch for the Transformers franchise.

With a tiny budget and emphasis, the movie was a smash, with Hailee Steinfeld recognized as a brilliant new star.

Bumblebee provided the company confidence to push the brand forward, with numerous prospective movies created simultaneously before Joby Harold's script was picked, and Creed II's Steven Caple Jr. was tapped to helm.

Paramount hopes that the addition of Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the Transformers franchise in Transformers 7 will provide new life to the film franchise, much as Beast Wars did for the original animated series.

Everything we know about the next Transformers movie, Rise of the Beasts, and the message it intends to convey is outlined here.

The sequel's title, "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts," was revealed alongside the news of the film's production.

The title alludes to the film's adaptation of the Beast Wars tale from the Transformers mythos.

Originally, this term alluded to a fictional future set 300 years after the events of the original Transformers animated program, in which the Autobots and Decepticons no longer existed and animal-themed Transformers called Maximals and Predacons dominated.

These Transformers and the Terrorcons first appear in the 1994 storyline of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which has its origins in Brooklyn, New York.

Brooklynites Noah and Elena, archeologists, will play a significant role in the tale as they become entangled with the new Transformer factions of Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons.

However, beyond this concept, much of the tale of Rise of the Beasts is still shrouded in obscurity.

Preview for "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" Now Available

The latest trailer for Transformers 7 has dropped, and it tells a lot about the film.

Optimus Prime meets Optimus Primal, a massive mechanical gorilla, at the beginning of the Rise of the Beasts trailer. Optimus Primal warns the Autobot that a danger from both their history and their future is looming.

Following the revelation of Bumblebee, the video cuts to Noah's car, Mirage, which has taken over and is leading him on a high-octane police pursuit replete with dummy holograms.

Once Cheetor, Airazor, and Arcee are introduced, audiences may see them in action.

Last but not least, we witness the Maximal Rhinox transform into a beast for a showdown with the new major antagonist dubbed Scourge.

The teaser concludes with an all-out battle between the Transformers, promising the same heart-pounding action scenes fans have come to expect from the Transformers franchise.

Here, at last, comes Elena, who has been trying to convince herself the whole time that this is really happening.

Performers in "Transformers: Rise of the Beast"

The human cast of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is headlined by Anthony Ramos (Hamilton), who portrays an ex-military family guy named Noah.

Dominique Fishback (Judas and the Black Messiah) is the second main human character, and she'll portray an artifact researcher named Elena.

And Dexter's Luna Lauren Vélez (in a part we don't yet know) will also be appearing.

The human cast for Transformers 7 is rather small, with just a few minor parts being officially confirmed at this time.

Nonetheless, the number of new Transformers is impressive, and several old favorites are included.

Many brand-new Transformers make their big-screen debut in Rise of the Beasts.

Robots in disguise: Optimus Prime and Primal from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Autobots, both new and old, will be featured alongside the human characters that have been mainstays of the Transformers series.

Of course, Bumblebee is back, and Peter Cullen is back to voice Optimus Prime in his G1 form.

Mirage, voiced by Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson, has returned with a stunning new look that's more faithful to his G1 days.

As for Arcee, she's back, too, with voice work by Liza Koshy (Work It).

And Cristo Fernández, who voices Wheeljack, is coming back, too (Ted Lasso).

There are also several new Transformers, in addition to the classic ones.

The Terrorcon forces will include Michaela Jaé Rodriguez's (Pose) Nightbird and the new supervillain Scourge (Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones).

Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) will portray the Maximal Airazor, while the Maximal Cheetor has been unveiled, although no voice actor has been confirmed.

Along with the Terrorcon Battletrap, David Sobolov lends his voice to the Maximal Rhinox.

Finally, the commander of the Maximals, Optimus Primal, will be voiced by none other than Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) (Sons of Anarchy).

Can Michael Bay's Films Be Linked to Transformers 7?

Given the extensive changes made for Transformers 7, it is unclear how the film relates to Michael Bay's previous five installments.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is confirmed to expand on Bumblebee's storyline, although Michael Bay's Transformers movies are also still regarded official.

Since the new picture takes place more than a decade before Bay's initial Transformers movies, it should have the opportunity to avoid immediately linking itself to prior entries in the franchise.

Even though Bumblebee retconned some of the narrative he constructed, Michael Bay's Transformers movies might undergo more revision in the upcoming seventh installment.

Release Date Announced for "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts"

A look at the similarities and differences between Optimus Prime's appearance in the first two Transformers films and in Rise of the Beasts.

The release date of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, a prequel/sequel to the original film, has been scheduled for June 9, 2023.

The original release date for Transformers 7 was the summer of 2022, which seemed reasonable given that development was set to begin in the middle of 2020.

Paramount later revealed the movie's release date was postponed, with Transformers: Rise of the Beasts now set for June 9, 2023.

After five years have passed since the release of Bumblebee, fans may be eager to see another Transformers film, especially one that promises as big of a departure from the established template as the Beast Wars movie does.

Explaining why Luke Skywalker finds Dagobah to be so "familiar" in Return of the Jedi

In The Empire Strikes Back, Luke hints at his connection to the Force and Yoda by telling R2-D2 that Dagobah seems familiar to him.

Yoda and Luke from Empire Strikes Back on Dagobah

Luke's comment to R2-D2 that Dagobah looks and sounds familiar is one of the most out-of-place moments in all of The Empire Strikes Back.

He has already mentioned that their current situation resembles a dream.

Even though Dagobah is immense, Luke feels instantly at home there, and he also manages to land close to Yoda.

As so, it seems like something—aside from Obi-Wan’s ghost—guided him to where he needed to be.

Luke has a stronger connection to the Force than other Jedi because of his family's lineage.

Since the planet Dagobah has significant links to the Force, it seems natural that Luke gets a curiously familiar feeling while there that he can't quite identify.

Yoda tells him that via the Force he can see the past, which is presumably why he gets a sense of déjà vu when on the planet.

Dagobah heightens his senses in a way that is natural to someone powerful with the Force—which is one of numerous reasons why Yoda opted to exile himself on the odd planet.

In episode 6 of The Clone Wars, Qui-Gon Jinn brought Yoda to Dagobah for the first time.

According to Qui-Gon, Dagobah has a stronger Force connection than any other planet since it is one of the cleanest locations in the galaxy.

All living things have some measure of the Force, but Dagobah serves as a very potent channel for the Force compared to other planets in the galaxy.

To understand why Luke sees himself confronting Darth Vader in a cave on Dagobah, we must first understand why Luke gets this vision.

This is also the reason why, many years earlier, during a trip to Dagobah, Yoda had a premonition of the destruction of the Jedi Order.

The cave on Dagobah is more attuned to the Force than any other location on the island since it lies deeper below and closer to the island's very center.

In Rebels, Ezra Bridger experienced a similar sensation when he was attracted to a Jedi Temple on Lothal.

The Lothal temple, like the Dagobah cave, is located under the surface.

Similar to Luke's experience on Dagobah, Ezra got a vision of his greatest fear while in the temple.

The two may feel an instant bond, and Luke may begin to sense his connection to Yoda.

Luke's feelings of closeness on Dagobah might also have been the result of his relationship with Yoda.

Due to Yoda's presence during both Luke and Leia's births, their encounter on Dagobah was not their first.

Yoda's desire for Luke to remain on Dagobah and finish his Jedi training makes sense, given that he has witnessed Luke's whole trip.

In The Empire Strikes Back, Luke decides to leave Dagobah and Yoda despite their importance in his life.

Director of the upcoming horror film The Grinch suggests a sequel is already in the works.

The filmmaker of the Grinch parody horror film The Mean One, Steven LaMorte, has dropped indications that he may have finished the script's framework for a sequel.

The Grinch, portrayed by David Howard Thornton, in The Mean One

The forthcoming Grinch-inspired horror thriller The Mean One has a plan for a sequel, according to the film's director.

The planned film joins a growing trend in modern horror of reimagining beloved children's characters in a slasher context.

The Mean One may be ushering in a new, very weird, horror subgenre with 2019's The Banana Splits Movie and 2020's Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey (which transforms famous A.A. Milne characters like Pooh and Piglet into homicidal villains now that they have entered the public domain).

Before the December 9 release of The Mean One, EW conducted an interview with the film's director, Steven LaMorte.

During their discussion, he dropped several hints that the sequel's full outline is already finalized on his end.

Though he wouldn't confirm it outright, he did say that "if there was to be a second Mean One, the narrative would be insane."

See the rest of his words below:

Can I offer any suggestions for expanding The Mean One?

All the characters, most or all of the settings, and several sketches are planned out, and I may or may not have written many pages of the outline.

Honestly, I'm not sure.

As of right now, I have no idea what, if anything, I actually possess.

It would be a crazy narrative if there were a second Mean One, though.

Allegedly.

If it exists.

And I'm not claiming that it does!
Since the premiere of The Mean One, the fourth film version of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, has not yet occurred, LaMorte is unable to discuss his plans for future installments.

So far, what is known about the narrative of the first film is that it follows Cindy You-Know-Who (Krystle Martin) as she returns to the town of Newville after seeing a terrible murder on Christmas Eve when she was a youngster.

Now that she's returned, the murdering has began anew, and she sets out to stop the huge green murderer, who has come from the mountains above the town.

Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, Flip Kobler, and Amy Schumacher also feature in the movie.

David Howard Thornton, who played the renowned indie horror villain Art the Clown in Terrifier 2, will take on the role of The Mean One in this film.

In addition to being directed by LaMorte (who previously experimented with existing IP in the 2018 live-action short Powerpuff Girls: The Long Way Back), the film was co-written by Finn and Flip Kobler.

Flip started his career writing screenplays for Disney sequels like "Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New World," whereas Finn has less experience writing.

One thing that may limit The Mean One from receiving a sequel is the box office success of the original picture, which doesn't debut in theaters for two more days.

Even though indie horror films seldom succeed at the box office, Terrifier 2 showed that it may be worthwhile to take a chance on a smaller production like this.

If it does well at the box office this weekend, a sequel will appear more plausible, and LaMorte will have to finally start working on that outline.

Pirates Of The Caribbean Producer Addresses Possible Johnny Depp Return

Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, has been a fan favorite since the first film, and Jerry Bruckheimer, the film's producer, has addressed whether or not fans can expect to see him in the sixth installment.
Depp's con artist pirate first appeared in 2003, and he has since appeared in every film in the series.
The franchise was effectively placed on hold after the underwhelming reaction of 2017's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Depp's following legal difficulties with ex-wife Amber Heard.
There has been speculation about a sixth film in the franchise for years, but it has never been made and Johnny Depp has stated that he has no interest in returning.

Bruckheimer has addressed the possibility of Depp's return as Sparrow in the next Pirates of the Caribbean episode, following the recent revelation that the film starring Margot Robbie has been placed on hold.
Bruckheimer is cautious in a recent interview with AP Entertainment, although he does hint that development is continuing behind the scenes.
Read on for Bruckheimer's entire response to a question about a possible Depp return:

We're still trying to figure things out.
Even though we haven't made any major progress toward a script just yet, we're still taking tiny steps in that direction.

If Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is going to recapture the series' lost enchantment, Jack Sparrow can't be expected to do it all by himself.
Both Elizabeth and Will made a cameo appearance in the most recent episode, although they had minor roles and ultimately had little impact on the plot.
Either make an effort to give both of these original characters larger roles in Pirates of the Caribbean 6, or leave them out entirely to make place for new characters.
The first two movies made an effort to introduce some new characters for fans to cheer for, but they weren't quite as interesting as Will and Elizabeth.

Depp's comeback would undoubtedly please many fans of the franchise, albeit the fate of Pirates of the Caribbean 6 has yet to be determined.
It's also conceivable that Depp won't want to return at all, in which case the picture would have to figure out how to continue without Sparrow, which is easier said than done.
Bruckheimer's confirmation that the script for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 has not even been written means that it will be a while before fans learn about Depp's comeback.

Avatar: The Way Of Water Review - Overlong But Stunning Sequel Is Worth The Wait

Despite the fact that it's been almost a decade since James Cameron debuted Avatar, the sequel Avatar: The Way of Water more than lives up to audiences' expectations that sequels will inevitably be worse in quality.
Cameron, together with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, returns to Pandora with more breathtaking graphics, a more intimate, emotionally engaging plot, and astonishing underwater sequences that put all previous films' technical achievements to shame.
The Avatar sequel is gorgeous, with lush world-building and characters who give depth, but the tale is too lengthy and thinly stretched.

Two decades have passed after the events of the first film, and Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) are doing well.
Jake and Neytiri's family has grown over the years to include five members: adopted daughter Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), biological daughter Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss), and sons Neteyam (Jamie Flatters) and Lo'ak (Britain Dalton), and Spider (Miles) who was left behind on Pandora and raised with Jake and Neytiri's children.
Jake and Neytiri's joy is cut short when they see Colonel Miles Quaritch's (Stephen Lang) avatar, which is loaded with the memories of Quaritch's clone.
Jake and his sister Neytiri are forced to seek refuge with the Metkayina, a water tribe, after Quaritch becomes obsessed with exacting vengeance on Jake and his family.

Cameron, rather than remaining in the wilderness, seizes the chance to learn about the other inhabitants of Pandora.
In the long run, this helps prevent the Avatar sequel from becoming stale.
The film mostly focuses on the younger Na'vi generation, which frees up time to go more into Pandora and the Na'vi, without relying as heavily on Jake's point of view or introducing the customs.
Rather, the addition of the Metkayina provides the plot a new perspective and gives Neytiri and Jake's family plenty of material to deal with, as well as some challenges to conquer.
Since both the elders and the teenagers are strong-willed and determined in their own ways, this also lends the drama a true push-pull dynamic.
The return of Colonel Miles Quaritch as an antagonist brings a feeling of continuity to the sequel without rehashing old material.

Despite this, Avatar: The Way of Water delves deeply enough into new plot beats and ramps up the stakes for its characters via tension to warrant a continuation of the tale from the previous film.
Returning to Pandora was well worth the wait thanks to The Way of the Water, which is not only one of the year's most visually stunning films, but also one of the most interesting and entertaining.

Midnight Mass Actor Who Pitched Warhammer Movie Reacts To Cavill News

It hasn't even been 24 hours since Henry Cavill's shocking departure from the role of Superman, and already Rahul Kohli, star of the indie film Midnight Mass, is suggesting that Cavill should make a movie based on the Warhammer fantasy series.
Superman made a brief appearance in this year's Black Adam and was formally announced as returning in October, but when James Gunn and Peter Safran began the work of articulating their vision for the franchise, questions were raised about the Man of Steel's future in the DCU.
Gunn recently announced on Twitter that the DCU would like to produce a younger version of the character sans Cavill in the cape, proving that fans' worst fears were correct all along.
Cavill has also addressed his departure from the role after posting a message on Instagram.

Kohli didn't waste any time thinking of a great project for Cavill to start working on as fans began responding to the news.
Cavill, who is well-known for his devotion to the Warhammer tabletop game, recently paid a surprise visit to the Games Workshop headquarters in the United Kingdom.
In light of this, Kohli, who shares Cavill's enthusiasm for the game, suggested the two work together on a Warhammer film or TV series.
Within a few hours following Kohli's presentation to Cavill, it was revealed that the actor will be starring in an Amazon series based on the Warhammer franchise.
Read Kohli's thoughts on the matter down below:

Fans of Cavill, who just quit the critically acclaimed fantasy series The Witcher on Netflix, are understandably concerned about his future after this latest setback.
Though some activists have taken it upon themselves to demand his return to Geralt of Rivia.
It's quite improbable, though, given the tone of his new Warhammer series.
Similarly, producer Barbara Broccoli's claims that they'll be seeking for "a thirty-something" actor capable of heading the brand for many more years make fan requests for Cavill to succeed Daniel Craig as the next James Bond appear unlikely.

Even after making his Warhammer declaration, Cavill will not be constrained by it.
The British actor is expected to participate in both the forthcoming Apple TV+ spy thriller Argylle and Guy Ritchie's World War II spy picture The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Both are scheduled for release in the next year.
Meanwhile, Chad Stahelski (John Wick) is set to direct Cavill in The Highlander revival, another long-gestating movie.

The desire of Kohli and other fans for a Warhammer series is no longer wishful thinking.
Cavill is an ideal leader for Warhammer because to his famed passion for the pastime.
Fans won't have to wait long to witness Cavill perform what he does best, even without the cape and cowl of Superman.

Sigourney Weaver Discusses the Origins of Her New Avatar 2 Character

Sigourney Weaver, who plays a new character in the upcoming film Avatar: The Way of Water, has spoke up about the inspiration behind her role.
A fantasy adventure sequel to 2009's Avatar, 10 years after the Na'vi defeated the Resources Development Administration, the film follows Jake Sully (Worthington) and his Na'vi wife Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) as they fight to preserve their loved ones and their nation from a new enemy.
Jake and Neytiri have four biological children: Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Lo'ak (Britain Dalton), Kiri (Weaver), and Miles "Spider" Socorro (a human they saved).

Weaver was recently interviewed by ComicBook.com, and in that interview, she explained where the character of Kiri came from in Avatar: The Way of Water.
A year after the first film's premiere, the actress and Avatar writer-director James Cameron had an early chat about how to include her in the sequel.
Weaver went into depth about her pre-employment preparations as well.
See what he had to say down below:

"In 2010, we met for lunch to brainstorm ideas for the film, and one of those ideas was a female character who was in a relationship with Grace but preferred to be in the woods.
To that end, we discussed our initial impressions of her.
Jim is insane enough to cast me as a 14-year-old, and as he stated that day and countless times subsequently, "This is your natural age." Neither of us knew anything about Spider [a new character in Avatar 2], and we certainly didn't know any of the specifics, but just the notion.
That's how immature a 14-year-old can be.
That's just who you are; I recognize that."

"Jim is also aware of the fact that I perform as a clown.
To be honest, I don't believe he was as concerned as I was when he informed me; I remember thinking, "Alright, how am I going to do this?"
But fortunately I had plenty of time to figure out not just how to do it, but how I wanted to do it, which was not copying a 14-year-old, but rather discovering, uncovering, and allowing my sad 14-year-old self to remain in this place."

With almost $2.8 billion earned at the box office, 2009's Avatar was the highest-grossing picture of all time.
In the film, Weaver played the role of Dr. Grace Augustine, the leader of the Avatar program on Pandora and an exobiologist who developed a strong rapport with the native Na'vi.
The RDA and the military attack the Na'vi village and start a full-scale battle with the local tribe in order to control a rich resource area, resulting in the deaths of many civilians and natives, including Augustine.

Recent revelations by Cameron have established that Kiri is the offspring of Augustine's avatar.
The filmmaker said that Augustine's corpse gave birth naturally.
Kiri believes that as she matures, she is able to feel her mother's presence through Eywa, and she has begun to suppress some of her mother's traits.
Weaver said that Kiri, like certain other Na'vi, has heightened perceptions that let her to hear and feel things that others can't.
The actress theorizes that Kiri's heightened awareness is due to the child's close relationship with Eywa, her spiritual guide.

Kiri will play a pivotal role in the interaction between Jake and Neytiri in Avatar: The Way of Water, which features heavy themes of the significance of family.
Weaver's centrality to the film's broader storyline has been evident even though elements of the film's overall plot involving the Metkayina (Pandoran water tribe) and Colonel Miles Quaritch's (Stephen Lang) return as a Recombinant have been kept under wraps.
As the debut of Avatar: The Way of Water approaches, fans won't have long to wait to see Weaver's return to Pandora.

Black Adam's HBO Max Release Timing Couldn't Be Worse

The December 16, 2022 release date for Black Adam on HBO Max is quickly becoming anticlimactic.
With the star power of Dwayne Johnson and the unexpected return of Henry Cavill's Superman, Black Adam was widely anticipated to be a financial success for Warner Bros. Discovery when it was released in theaters that October of 2022.
Black Adam was supposed to be a step in a new direction for the DCEU; it featured a new antihero as well as another flagship superhero team in the form of the Justice Society of America; but, it underperformed both critically and commercially.

Black Adam, which grossed less than $400 million worldwide in theaters, will now debut on HBO Max barely two months after its theatrical debut.
Since Black Adam has a high production cost and a large marketing effort, it's possible that DC Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery will take a financial hit from the movie.
However, it's impossible to overlook the fact that the DCU has undergone a major management change in the two months between Black Adam's theatrical premiere and its appearance on HBO Max, and that this change will effect not only this film but everything else that DC Studios still has on its release plan.

Forgoing the character's tie to Shazam's mythos, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has previously stated that Black Adam would be a stepping stone to a Black Adam and Superman face-off.
The likelihood of a Black Adam sequel has diminished due to the film's weak box office showing.
James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new leaders of DC Studios, have already made it clear that they will be taking the DCU in a completely different path by rejecting Patty Jenkins' proposal for Wonder Woman 3 and confirming that Henry Cavill will not be returning as Superman in any future films.

The movie has strong ties to known narrative strands and characters from the former administration, even if Black Adam is a new character for the DCU.
Both Superman and Viola Davis's Amanda Waller made cameo appearances in Black Adam, forever connecting the franchise's future to other contemporary DC concepts that are expected to be phased away within the next months and years.
The future of Black Adam on HBO Max appears bleak at best, given the service's own worrisome cancelations and quick deletions as of late, unless the show experiences unforeseen success.

Given that Henry Cavill's comeback as Superman was a significant selling point for Black Adam, it's hard to imagine that the film would do better on streaming services.
Cavill's return to the big screen as Superman was praised as a triumph and provided spectators optimism for the character's future, despite merely being a part of a post-credit sequence.
This sequence was so confident in Superman's bright future that it even featured John Williams's famous Superman music.
Unfortunately, this was not to be, as it has since been confirmed that Cavill will no longer play Superman.

However, there is less of a draw to see Black Adam only for that scenario because it seems less plausible that Black Adam would ever actually meet Superman.
Black Adam works fine as a stand-alone adventure, and not every comic book film needs to be part of an overarching continuity. However, the film's story was met with lukewarm reviews, and audiences were won over by the movie's large-scale action sequences, which are more impressive on the big screen than on a home theater system.

Wakanda Forever Only Showed 10% Of Talokan, Says Black Panther VFX Artist

Despite the title, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever only showed a small portion of Talokan, Namor's city.
Wakanda Forever, the sequel to 2018's Black Panther, picked up after T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) was killed off.
The loss of their monarch threw the great city of Wakanda into chaos, and they had to deal with a new enemy that had emerged from the sea: Tenoch Huerta's Namor.

In order to ensure the safety of his people, Namor, who governed the undersea kingdom of Talokan for hundreds of years, sought for an alliance.
Although Talokan was crucial to the plot of the film, viewers didn't get to see it very much.
The majority of the movie occurred on land, however there were a few underwater sequences that featured Namor and Letitia Wright's Shuri exploring the city.
The designs of Talokan and its warriors required extensive prep work that viewers never got to witness.
That's why Wt FX animation supervisor Sidney Kombo-Kintombo assured ComicBook that Talokan isn't done yet.

"In other words...
Only 10% of the [Talokan] plan has been revealed to you.
None of the residences next to Namor's throne room were accessible to us.
It's easy to overlook the fish swimming in and out of the throne room's clusters on the walls.
The city is enormous, by any standard.
Amazingly, the art team created a stunning fly through that let us explore the city and select a specific region to highlight."

Marvel has announced that Namor cannot have a standalone movie due to licensing difficulties with Universal Pictures, but there has been no official indication on when Namor or his city would feature next.
As with the Hulk, Marvel sold the rights to Namor before the MCU was established, limiting his appearances to supporting roles.
However, Namor and his undersea warriors do have a chance to make a difference in a few strategic areas.

Given his prominence as a villain in the comics, the King would fit in well as an opponent in the Fantastic Four film.
Namor is one of the Fantastic Four's longest-running antagonists; he'd be a great first opponent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For a group that has to create its own heroes, a proven villain is ideal.
There's only so much screen time in a movie, so focusing too much on the antagonist might detract from the strength of the heroes' squad.
Given Kevin Feige's previous statement that Marvel's Fantastic Four won't be an origin narrative, there is still opportunity for a figure like Namor to arrive.

Namor and Talokan might return after Fantastic Four in the forthcoming films Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Namor's return to action would be most appropriate during the last battles with Kang the Conqueror, much to how all of Marvel's heroes banded together in Infinity War and Endgame to take on Thanos.
The people of Talokan must be present to support their fellow heroes, since Wakanda will inevitably be pulled into the conflict as their major ally.
It's also an excellent chance to expand upon Talokan's portrayal in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Fast X Vin Diesel Reveals Timeline For The First Trailer Release

Vin Diesel gives an update on the release of the first Fast X trailer.
Beginning with 2001's The Fast and the Furious, the franchise has come a long way since then.
It has now grown into a massive blockbuster series that has spanned the world and continues to expand with each new film.
Fast X, scheduled for release in 2023, will mark the beginning of the end for the franchise, with Fast & Furious 11 scheduled to wrap up the main series a few years later.

Diesel announced the release date of the first Fast X trailer on Instagram.
Sharing a selfie of himself and his on-screen sister, Jordana Brewster, he hinted at the surprise.
With the release of the FastX trailer now less than two months away, the countdown is on.
The author was Diesel.
Given that the Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on February 12, that timing might indicate the first Fast X teaser will release at the NFL contest.

The next Fast film, Fast X, will mark the beginning of the end for the popular auto racing series.
It's been estimated that Fast X cost $340 million to make, which is a substantial sum.
With that sum, Fast X would be on par with another enormous film ushering in the conclusion of a franchise, Avengers: Infinity War.
The $316 million production featured numerous A-list actors, cutting-edge CGI, and intense action sequences.
We can probably expect to see all of things in plenty in Fast X, especially in the action scenes.

Fast X will include the return of various fan-favorite characters from previous installments of the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as the introduction of new characters who are expected to have an influence on both of the series' conclusion films.
Jason Momoa, who will play the antagonist, is a fresh addition.
Actor Jason Momoa has described his character as "extremely cruel," making him a formidable foe for Vin Diesel's Dom and his gang in Aquaman.
Beyond that, information about the characters is being kept secret.
Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, and Rita Moreno will all make their first appearances in the Fast film series in Fast X.
So far, not much is known about them either, but Moreno's role as Dom's grandma has been confirmed.

James Gunn Honors Stan Lee For His 100th Birthday With Twitter Post

The late Stan Lee's 100th birthday is celebrated by James Gunn, who pays tribute to him.
The enormous success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is entirely due to the contributions of the legendary comic book creator.
Lee was famous not just as the creator of some of the most famous comic book characters of all time, but also for his outsized presence and instant recognizability.
He became well-known after making several guest appearances in Marvel movies and TV series.
One month shy of his 96th birthday, Lee passed away in 2018.

Even now, four years after his death, Lee is universally celebrated as a legendary figure in the comic book industry.
Gunn, who helms the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy flicks, sent a tribute to Lee on Twitter on his friend's birthday.
The note was brief and straightforward, containing "We wish Stan Lee a joyous centennial!
Friend, you will be sorely missed."
Gunn also included images of the two of them together with the icon who, although playing a little role in the development of the Guardians of the Galaxy, proudly portrayed them and kept his habit of making a cameo in those films.

Lee always wanted to see his works adapted on the big screen.
TV studios were the only ones willing to adapt his characters in the beginning.
The Incredible Hulk, starring Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby, was created as a consequence and ran for five seasons.
Unfortunately, not all adaptations met with success; a Doctor Strange TV movie, Captain America flicks, and spinoffs of The Incredible Hulk starring Thor and Daredevil all bombed.
Spider-Man was adapted for television, but critics and even Lee himself were not happy with the results.

Because of the box office bomb that was Howard the Duck, Lee was having problems greenlighting any further cinematic adaptations of his work.
Not until Blade and X-Men hit theaters, anyhow.
Soon after, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man reached theaters and paved the way for the creation and financial success of subsequent big Marvel films.
When Kevin Feige was put in charge of Marvel Studios with the intention of creating a shared world in the vein of the comics, Lee was completely on board.
In addition, Feige has kept up Lee's practice of making brief cameo appearances in films by having him show up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to lend credence to the widely held fan notion that he has been the same character in all the Marvel movies this whole time.

Despite his passing, Lee is still celebrated for his contributions to Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There have been suggestions that Marvel may continue his cameo habit even after his death, although this seems doubtful and could be seen as disrespectful.
Gunn, along with the rest of the Marvel cast and crew, has nothing but admiration for Stan Lee and the happiness he provided to fans all around the world.
Along with news of a documentary on the Marvel comic book creator premiering on Disney+, it seems that Stan Lee will never be forgotten.

Happy Death Day & Freaky Crossover Update Given By Blumhouse

The producer of both films has addressed the possibility of crossover between Happy Death Day and Freaky.
The 2017 original Happy Death Day was immediately followed by the 2019 film Happy Death Day 2U, which combined the time loop premise of Groundhog Day with a traditional college campus slasher film.
Both films were directed by Christopher Landon, who went on to direct the slasher hybrid Freaky Friday in 2020, prompting calls for a crossover between the two franchises. The producers of both films have given their OK to the proposal.

The creator of Blumhouse, Jason Blum, and M3GAN's director and producer, James Wan, recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about their impending killer doll film.
The topic of discussion shifted to the Freaky Death Day crossover and whether or not it will actually happen.
In regards to the project's prospects, Blum was quite pessimistic, saying, "I wouldn't have very great hopes," yet he was careful not to completely dismiss the idea.
See the rest of his words below:

Blum's suggestion that the crossover between Freaky Friday and Death Day was more likely to occur a few months ago is noteworthy.
It's hard to say what could have changed in that time to dampen enthusiasm for the picture, beyond the obvious truth that audiences age and lose interest with time.
Although the exact context of the comment may never be known, there is a glaring reason why a Happy Death Day/Freaky crossover may never happen: the cast and crew of both franchises are extremely busy.

Kathryn Newton, who portrays last girl turned killer and back again Millie Kessler in Happy Death Day and Freaky, is a major roadblock for the continuation of the crossover between the two films.
Cassie Lang, formerly played by Abby Ryder Fortson, will be portrayed by her in the forthcoming MCU film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and her character's arc might continue in future films.
Due to their schedules, the show's main creatives are unlikely to be able to work together for weeks at a time on a single set.

Luther Movie Teaser Reveals Netflix & Theatrical Release Dates

A new trailer for Luther: The Fallen Sun has revealed both the streaming and theatrical premiere dates, ending years of anticipation.
Starring as the title character, Elba led the cast of the BBC crime thriller series as he struggled with his obsessive behavior for solving the crimes presented to him, including his complicated relationship with murderer Alice Morgan, from whom he gained insight into the mind of a psychopath and tracked down multiple criminals.
Elba received a Golden Globe and four Emmy nods for his role as Luther during the course of the show's run, and his performance was so well received that many fans have been eagerly awaiting the long-awaited film continuation since the show's fifth season began four years ago.

Idris Elba has taken to Twitter to unveil a brand new trailer for Luther: The Fallen Sun, with just a few months left till the film is available to stream.

Although it doesn't feature any actual film material, a new trailer has announced that the Elba-led drama will debut in cinemas on February 24 and on Netflix the following month on March 10.
A March debut on Netflix was all that had been announced about Luther: The Fallen Sun.

Luther: The Fallen Sun was planned for a streaming release, so it will be intriguing to see why Netflix wants to put it to theaters first.
The streaming service typically reserves theatrical releases for its high-profile projects or those they are trying to promote to awards season voters, such as Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, which won the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, which received two Golden Globe nominations, and Noah Baumbach's White Noise, which received one Golden Globe nomination for Adam Driver's lead performance.
However, Rian Johnson's whodunnit sequel has been the main topic of conversation regarding Netflix's theatrical distribution strategy, with many reviewers and moviegoers expressing dismay that the picture was only allowed a one-week release despite the original film grossing over $311 million at the box office.

Johnson has said he'd want to try to have a bigger theatrical release for Knives Out 3, and Netflix may be trying that theory out with Luther: The Fallen Sun.
In light of the fact that Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery apparently earned Netflix its greatest box office haul to date, the streaming service may be optimistic that the excitement around Elba's return will help the picture earn more money than Johnson's much anticipated follow-up.
At this moment, however, it is unknown if Luther: The Fallen Sun will have a wider or longer theatrical distribution than Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Maguire's Spider-Man & Jackman's Wolverine Unite In Avengers 6 Fan Poster

Fan art for Avengers: Secret Wars features Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine.
Marvel Studios' exploration of parallel universes and alternate timelines continues in Phase Five of the Multiverse Saga.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has barely begun, with Phase Four having already utilized the multiverse in a number of films and television series.
Quantumania, starring Ant-Man and the Wasp and focusing heavily on Kang the Conqueror, will be a major turning point in the Multiverse Saga.
In the end, both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars may be traced back to Phases Five and Parts Six, respectively.
The two next Avengers movies will reveal whether the Multiverse Saga or the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga is more impressive.

Since there is no limit to the number of universes in existence, fans are curious as to whether characters from alternate realities will make an appearance in either of the two Avengers films.
A new fan poster for Avengers: Secret Wars features Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman).

The 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home included Maguire's return to the role of Peter Parker, alongside Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield's versions of the character.
To play Logan in Ryan Reynolds's forthcoming Deadpool 3 film, Hugh Jackman is coming out of Wolverine retirement.
In the film, Wade Wilson will make his permanent Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut.

Before the MCU, there wasn't much in the way of live-action superhero films in the early 2000s.
Prior to the tremendous success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the concept of shared worlds in film was not very widespread.
Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and Bryan Singer's first X-Men films have been credited with revitalizing the superhero film genre for many years.
Superhero films like Batman & Robin (1997) and the X-Men (2001) didn't start gaining mainstream traction until the early 2000s.
Their commercial success is proof of this; Spider-Man made over $825 million worldwide in 2002.

As a result of legal disputes, crossovers between X-Men and Spider-Man were never produced.
When you consider how legendary Maguire and Jackman are in their respective roles, it's easy to understand why their meeting in Avengers: Secret Wars would be a historic event.
Both the X-Men and Spider-Man film series became staples of the superhero film genre, with many installments in each series before being rebooted.
This might have the same impact in Avengers: Secret Wars as the reunion of three generations of Spider-Man in 2021.

James Gunn Already Teased GOTG Vol 3's High Death Count

Only a few short months remain until the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and in the recently released Disney+ special, James Gunn has already foreshadowed the film's emotional toll and disturbingly high body count.
It's becoming more apparent that not every member of the spacefaring Guardians crew will survive their next battle with the High Evolutionary, portrayed by Peacemaker's Chukwudi Iwuji.
Despite the generally optimistic tone of the MCU, this film is guaranteed to make audiences cry.

Despite the overall positive tone of the remainder of the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, this one phrase from Drax seems to hint that he and maybe other Guardians will be killed off in the next movie.
Outside of Avengers: Endgame, the only other appearance of the whole Guardians team in which every member of the squad survives is the Christmas special.
Not only does this sentence disclose the sad conclusion of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but it also emphasizes this point.

The Guardians Holiday Special not only shows the crew closer than ever before, but it also verbally teases the death of a significant member in the next feature.
Even the cold and aloof Nebula seems to have strong affections for the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy, setting the stage for a heartbreaking loss for all of them.
The Guardians, at the pinnacle of their heroic careers, are on the verge of experiencing the worst setback in all of their MCU appearances to yet.
