Black Panther 2 Becomes One Of The Only 2022 Movies To Pass $300 Million In US

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the eighth film released in 2022 to gross over $300 million in North America.
The film, which premiered on November 11th, is the last theatrical release from MCU's fourth phase.
In it, notable Wakandans including Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) and Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright) struggle with the aftermath of Black Panther's death while also confronting a new danger from the undersea region of Talokan, commanded by the mutant Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejia).

According to Deadline, the domestic total for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever increased by a massive $9.6 million on Tuesday, just before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
A domestic total of $303.7 million is already confirmed, making it the eighth picture in 2022 to gross over $300 million.
The Batman, Top Gun: Maverick, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Jurassic World: Dominion, Thor: Love and Thunder, and Minions: The Rise of Gru are some of the other movies this year that have achieved this.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now in second place in the Multiverse of Madness, behind only Doctor Strange, which is set to be released in May.
While predictions had Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opening weekend somewhat higher than Doctor Strange's, the actual numbers were lower.
It debuted roughly $6 million behind, but with a smaller dip in week 2, it was able to bridge the gap significantly by this past Sunday, when it was just $2 million behind.

This solid performance during Thanksgiving week has put Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in the lead.
The 12-day total for Doctor Strange was $302.7 million, therefore the first picture has already been surpassed by the sequel by nearly precisely $1 million.
This doesn't prove that Wakanda Forever will win, but it does indicate that it will likely carry on the success of the original 2018 Black Panther at the box office.

However, Disney's animated feature Strange World, which was expected to be a major holiday rival this weekend, is underperforming.
This is no longer a major obstacle, thus box office for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever should continue to soar through the holiday weekend and into next week, when the next major release, Avatar: The Way of Water, will be released.
Even while Doctor Strange 2's box office is expected to remain strong in the yearly Top 5, if Black Panther plays its cards correctly, by then, it can have easily firmly established itself as the year's #1 MCU picture.

Sigourney Weaver Details Training With Navy SEAL Instructor For Avatar 2

In order to get into character for Avatar: The Way of Water, Sigourney Weaver says she had to undergo special training with a Navy SEAL instructor.
Before joining Avatar: The Way of Water as Kiri, adoptive daughter of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana), Weaver portrayed scientist Dr. Grace Augustine in the first film.
Kiri, the protagonist of Avatar: The Way of Water, discovers that she can use her affinity with Eywa to have extraordinary abilities and interact with the natural world.
Since Kiri will be the protagonist of the next few Avatar films, Weaver's position in the franchise will only get larger.

In an interview with The Wrap, Weaver said that preparing for her role in Avatar: The Way of Water required extensive training with military experts.

Weaver struggled with her self-assurance on set due to the physically hard stunts and James Cameron's critical remarks, so she sought help from Navy SEAL instructor Kirk Krack.
This preparation allowed Weaver to successfully perform her stunt work and shooting in the water.
Take a look at what she had to say about it below:

"[Cameron] used to brag that we could hold our breath for a minute and a half while swimming, and that was on the safe side.
And then I realized that, even while not in motion, I can only hold my breath for around 30 seconds.
But [Cameron] never issues these tests without providing resources to assist you meet the task.
Therefore, in May of 2017, we began our training in the pool with Navy SEAL instructor Kirk Krack.
My spouse and I were able to remain still under the water for a whole minute, and from there we were able to take things from there.

Avatar: The Way of Water, after 13 years in development, was bound to be more expansive than the first Avatar, but the addition of a sizable water element further heightened the production's difficulties.
Aside from donning motion capture suits and striving to live up to Cameron's high standards, the performers also had to learn parkour, archery, and free diving so they could film underwater.
The pressures of making a blockbuster like Avatar: The Way of Water aren't unique; a villain in the upcoming Dune 2 movie also went through rigorous training with the Navy SEALs.

Although computer-generated imagery (CGI) was extensively used in Avatar: The Way of Water to realize the Na'vi and the planet Pandora, the production of the film was complicated by the necessity of using physical effects.
Productions are already complicated by water, and motion capture outfits just make things worse.
Some of the performers had to get in shape or seem older than their characters, which further added to the challenge.
Weaver, who is 73 years old, had to learn parkour and perform burpees for the show since she was portraying a 14-year-old youngster.

The performers knew what they were getting into when they signed up for the project, and some of them even exceeded expectations.
Since Avatar: The Way of Water was shot simultaneously with Avatar 3, the performers had little opportunity to recover between sets.
In terms of breaths, many other performers went through considerably more than Weaver did, as underwater sequences might stretch for minutes.
For example, Kate Winslet was under great pressure from Cameron to break Tom Cruise's breath-holding record of just over six minutes by remaining underwater for seven minutes and fourteen seconds.
It's no surprise that the performers had it so rough on the set of Avatar: The Way of Water, despite the film's status as a technological achievement.

Harley Quinn & Joker Are Physically Bonded In Painterly Joker 2 Fan Poster

A new, breathtaking fan poster for Joker: Folie à Deux merges Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga) and Joaquin Phoenix's Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) into a picture that hints at the agony they experience together in the film.
Joker, which debuted in theaters in 2019, has earned well over $1 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
And then, Phoenix took home the Oscar for Best Actor as well.
Joker: Folie à Deux features Gaga as Joker's comic book partner/enemy Harley Quinn for a full-on musical theme, inspired by the success of the DC film.

The sad fan poster for Joker: Folie à Deux was posted to Instagram by artist SPDRMNKYXXIII. It depicts Joker and Harley Quinn's growing relationship as their face paint slips away.

Knowing that Joker: Folie à Deux is a musical like the successful adaptation of A Star is Born, in which Gaga co-starred with Bradley Cooper, made the news of her selection as Harley Quinn all the more surprising and exciting.
Considering that Gaga won Best Song for the film and was nominated for Best Actress, it's easy to see why the Joker sequel targeted the singer/actress.

Authentic Joker 2 trailers with the villain grooving with Harley Quinn

Since no other superhero film has ever taken a musical approach, the announcement that Joker: Folie à Deux would be one was shocking.
Joker did imply that a musical may work for the sequel, so the shift in genre and tone wasn't completely out of the blue.
Phoenix's exposed performance as Arthur Fleck, dancing in the shower to the Joker's hauntingly beautiful soundtrack by Hildur Gunadóttir, is a highlight of the film.
This was the defining moment when Arthur became the cocky Joker we all know and love.
The sequel's score will have music composed by the same person.

A recent report on the production of Joker: Folie à Deux indicated that the DC film will have intricate musical passages, suggesting that the filmmakers were inspired by the film's pivotal dance scene to go all out with the musical approach.
Given the musical backdrop of Joker: Folie à Deux, it would be fitting for the plot to contain one or more unbelievable dance moments that take the audience out of their world, as seen in the most popular musicals like La La Land.
After the events of Joker, Arthur was seen fleeing Arkham Asylum, suggesting that he will spend at least some of Joker: Folie à Deux behind bars.

Keira Knightley Considers Potential Pirates Of The Caribbean Return

Keira Knightley is thinking about reprising her role in a third Pirates of the Caribbean film.
Beginning in 2003's The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Knightley played Elizabeth Swann.
Her character, played by her together with Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom in the two sequels that followed, subverted the damsel-in-distress stereotype by developing into an independent pirate.
Elizabeth was shown in the 2017 film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has been going strong since its inception in 2003, and it has thus far yielded five films.
The franchise has shown success at the movie office despite often extravagant spending.
Around $4.5 billion has been made from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies so far, and the series' characters, like as Jack Sparrow, have entered the cultural lexicon and become household names as a result.

It's hardly surprising that Bruckheimer wants to make further sequels after such massive success.
Depp has starred in the previous two installments of the series, but his career has been derailed by legal issues with his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
Without its greatest star, the future of Pirates of the Caribbean is uncertain, and the actor lost many gigs as a result.
But Bruckheimer has said he's eager to bring Depp back for a sixth feature, so there's that.

Nonetheless, it appears like Knightley has made up her mind not to come back.
Given the romantic history between Knightley and Bloom's characters, Bloom may follow suit if Knightley decides to withdraw.
As a result, the franchise's future is probably tied to Depp or an effort at a remake or spinoff, either of which might be challenging.
Bruckheimer has said that the sixth film will have a younger cast, which is in line with his previous remarks about wanting Depp to return.
There's also the Margot Robbie spinoff that hasn't been scrapped yet.
Therefore, while it may appear that Knightly is finished, the adventures of the Pirates of the Caribbean are far from complete.

Dune 2 Story Details Reveal More Time On Different Worlds Like Giedi Prime

Cosplayer Jacqueline West, who worked on the Dune sequel, discusses how new planets will be visited in the film, including the Harkonnen homeworld of Giedi Prime.
Preceding the release of 2021's Dune, the forthcoming sequel will see Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) spend more time with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen tribe as he works toward becoming Muad'Dib.
Denis Villeneuve, who directed the first film in the franchise, comes back to bring Frank Herbert's novel to a satisfying conclusion on the big screen.

Not much is known about the narrative of Dune: Part Two, but most of the original ensemble will return, along with some new faces.
In addition to Chalamet, Zendaya, and Austin Butler, the film also features the return of Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgrd, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem as Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Glossu Rabban, Thufir Hawat, Gaius Helen Moiham, and Stilgar.
Princess Irulan (Floriana Pugh), Emperor Shaddam IV (Christopher Walken), Lady Margot (Léa Seydoux, No Time to Die), and Shishakli (Souheila Yacoub) also return for the sequel.

Writers Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, and Eric Roth (who also authored the previous film) created the screenplay.
After winning an Oscar for his score to the first film in 2022, composer Hans Zimmer is back for the sequel.
In addition to his work on The Batman, cinematographer Grieg Fraser also contributed to the follow-up.
Fraser, who won an Oscar for Dune: Part One in 2022, has hinted that the next sequel would have even more IMAX footage than the previous film.

Although Villeneuve has stated his desire to adapt Frank Herbert's Dune Messiah, the events of the sequel will serve as a springboard for the HBO Max television spinoff Dune: The Sisterhood, starring Travis Fimmel, Emily Watson, and Obi-Wan Kenobi herself, Indira Varma.
Unfortunately, filming on the program has been put on hold as of late due to creative conflicts between director Johan Reck and the actress Shirley Henderson, who was cast as Tula Harkonnen.
When production on Dune: The Sisterhood will get back up again is still unknown.
Yet, Villeneuve has already surpassed expectations for the difficult adaptation with Dune: Part Two, which will anticipate and end Frank Herbert's original book.

Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh Reportedly Starring In New Romance Movie

It has been announced that Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh will co-star in the upcoming film We Live in Time.
The two Oscar nominees are two of the most beloved Hollywood actors, thanks in large part to their portrayals of Marvel Comics' Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Yelena Belova, respectively.
Both Garfield and Pugh have been nominated for many Academy Awards for the parts they played. Garfield for Hacksaw Ridge and tick, tick...BOOM!, and Pugh for Little Women.

Today, after only having presented together at the 2023 Academy Awards, Garfield and Pugh are said to be starring in the upcoming film We Live in Time.
According to Deadline, both have begun bargaining for roles in the picture, though no contracts have been signed as of yet.
Stars Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett recently surprised Oscar watchers by presenting the Best Original and Best Adapted Screenplay prizes jointly, and their connection won over many viewers who had no idea they were working together.

We Live in Time is being billed as a "funny, emotionally poignant, and absorbing love story," but the narrative specifics are being kept under wraps.
Nick Panye, who also penned The Last Letter from Your Lover for Netflix, is now working on the script.
John Crowley, who directed the Oscar-nominated film Brooklyn and the first four episodes of Life After Life, has joined the team as the film's director.
Even if Garfield and Pugh are able to finalize their contracts, We Live in Time still hopes to begin production this year.

After starring in Don't Worry Darling, The Wonder, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish in 2022, Pugh has a busy year ahead of her: she's set to appear in A Good Person, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, and Dune: Part Two this year, and she'll soon begin filming her role as Storm in the MCU's Thunderbolts.
Actor Andrew Garfield, fresh off an Emmy nomination for his role in Under the Banner of Heaven, will play Richard Branson in the upcoming limited series Hot Air.
Audiences got a taste of the chemistry between Garfield and Pugh when the two presented at the Oscars, and now they'll be working together in We Live in Time.

Why Scream 6's Tara & Chad Romance Was Important To Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega has opened out about her excitement at the developing romance between Tara and Chad in Scream 6.
Tara, Sam (Melissa Barrera), Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), and Chad (Mason Gooding) return in Scream 6 after being introduced in the legacy sequel last year, this time battling with a new Ghostface in New York City.
Sam has a hidden flirtation with Josh Segarra's character, Danny, while Tara and Chad spend much of the film flirting with one another until sharing a passionate kiss at the conclusion.

Gooding's character, Chad, somehow escapes the climactic attack by two Ghostfaces, in which they stab him many times.
If Scream 7 is approved, the filmmakers will have several avenues to explore the developing romance between Tara and Chad.
Regardless of how things go between them, the interaction will reveal layers to both characters that go beyond their status as possible victims of Ghostface.

After the events of Scream 6, Tara and Chad may be an item, experiencing the usual adolescent relationship issues.
In addition, the stakes would be raised while dealing with a new Ghostface if the two of you are romantically involved.
Nevertheless, it's also conceivable that Tara and Chad's new romance won't endure, like Gale (Courteney Cox) and Dewey (David Arquette).

Yet, the franchise is also accustomed to romantic stories that persist through numerous installments, with Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott still apparently blissfully married to Patrick Dempsey's Mark Kincaid.
In light of the fact that Sam and Danny begin dating in the most recent film, it's probable that the focus of Scream 7 may shift more heavily toward romantic subplots.
Despite the outcome of Scream 6, the new interaction between Tara and Chad adds depth to both characters and opens up intriguing new avenues for development.

How The Whale Composer Created Atmosphere Through Music

In celebration of Brendan Fraser's triumphant cinematic return, The Whale, Screen Rant is pleased to provide this rare behind-the-scenes footage from the film.
The A24 film that won the Academy Award for Best Picture has just been published on digital, Blu-ray, and DVD by Lionsgate, and it comes with a ton of bonus features that go further into the making of the film's eerie plot.
Fraser, Hong Chau, and Sadie Sink all provide outstanding performances in Darren Aronofsky's (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan) adaptation of Samuel D. Hunter's play The Whale.

Screen Rant has an exclusive clip from The Whale's supplemental material in which composer Rob Simonsen discusses how Charlie's battle to breathe influenced the score.
The score has light sounds from a pump organ and brass instruments, but Winne Clement's overtone flute is credited by Simonsen as the source of the film's ambiance.
Clement not only accompanied The Whale on the instrument, but he also created the world's longest overtone flute, measuring in at an impressive 21 feet in length.

"People Are Amazing: Creating The Whale" and "The Sounds of the Sea: Scoring The Whale" are both supplementary features on the home version of "The Whale."
The film has a total length of 117 minutes and is accompanied by Spanish and English SDH subtitles.

James Mangold's Star Wars Movie Asks Where The Force Was Born

James Mangold discusses the creative process behind Star Wars: Episode VII — Dawn of the Jedi. Three new films were unveiled at the Lucasfilm Showcase at Star Wars Celebration, the most recent of which will go back in time even deeper than the original trilogy. Mangold's film will take place in the past, around 25,000 years, and may investigate the history of the Jedi Order and their link to the Force.

After the Lucasfilm Showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration, Screen Rant talked to Mangold about his forthcoming Star Wars picture, Dawn of the Jedi. He explained his motivation for writing this Star Wars narrative at this time. Mangold also discussed his approach to filmmaking and the themes he thinks should drive every movie. Read what Mangold has to say on the plot, timeline, cast, and directors of all three Star Wars movies.

After helming the last Indiana Jones picture, Mangold returns to Lucasfilm to work on another of their blockbuster franchises, Dawn of the Jedi. The central mystery of Star Wars is its origin: where did the Force come from? Mangold has proven he can provide a fresh take to established series like Logan.

Mangold's film has the potential to significantly shift audiences' preconceived notions of what Jedi believe and how the Force operates, in contrast to both The Mandalorian and A New Jedi Order. While The Acolyte delves deeply into the shadowy side of the Force, Dawn of the Jedi was able to see it in its purest form, before it had been influenced by good or evil. Dawn of the Jedi has the ability to reintroduce themes about the Force that George Lucas was toying with for his planned second trilogy, and it can do so from a more spiritual and philosophical perspective.

Timothée Chalamet's Bob Dylan Biopic Gets Filming Update After Indefinite Delay

The Timothée Chalamet–starring Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown is continuing in production, as confirmed by director James Mangold. Although it was stated in early 2020 that Chalamet would be playing an early-career Dylan for Mangold, production on the picture was reportedly put on indefinite hold by October of that year. After that, Chalamet's career skyrocketed thanks to roles in films like Dune, Don't Look Up, and Bones and All.

Rami Malek won Best Actor in 2018 for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, and Renée Zellweger won Best Actress in 2019 for her portrayal of Judy Garland in Judy, both for their performances as iconic musical icons. Austin Butler was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in 2016 for his performance as Elvis Presley in the biopic Elvis, but he ultimately lost out to Brendan Fraser in The Whale.

It's logical to assume that the same individuals who voted for Butler as Elvis and Malek as Mercury will also vote for Chalamet as Dylan, given Dylan's status as a symbol of 1960s and 1970s culture. Since Mangold led Joaquin Phoenix to an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Johnny Cash in Walk the Line, he already knows the ropes when it comes to directing actors to award-worthy musical biopic performances. It seems nearly certain that following the release of A Complete Unknown, Chalamet will at least be in the discussion for major accolades, barring the star's depiction proving to be a complete disaster or the movie going off the rails in other ways.

Babe Movie Star Imitates Art By Saving Baby Pig (& Gives Perfect Name)

Actor James Cromwell recently took in a piglet and named it appropriately. Babe is based on the story The Sheep-Pig by Dick King-Smith, about an extraordinary pig who longs to be a sheepdog. When farmer Arthur Hoggett (Cromwell) brings home an orphaned piglet from the county fair, he rapidly discovers the pig has more going on than meets the eye. The 1995 picture was a financial success, bringing in over $250 million on a $30 million budget.

Babe's story hit a chord with viewers of all ages, despite the film's intended audience being families. The film is a tale of love and discovery, with Babe searching for his place in the world. The popular animal film opened the eyes of a new generation to the emotional lives of farm animals and inspired many of them to choose a vegetarian diet. The story's basic theme still applies even though the protagonists aren't human.

Both the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and reviewers acknowledged Babe despite the film's disadvantageous category. The film received seven nominations at the 68th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor for James Cromwell. Babe came up on top in one category, best visual effects, despite its other six nominations and losses.

List of George Miller Films, Worst to Best
George Miller, who also created Mad Max, wrote and directed a sequel to his 1979 picture Babe. The sequel to Babe, released a few weeks after the first film, is titled Pig in the City, and follows Esme, Arthur's wife, as she uses the pig to try to rescue their home from foreclosure. The sequel was not as well received or as successful as its predecessor. However, since its first release, Babe: Pig in the City has amassed a sizeable cult following.

Chris Pratt's Tomorrow War 2 Gets Update After Years Of Silence

The Tomorrow War 2, directed by Chris McKay and released a few years after the original video that broke records for Prime Video, with an updated plot. Starring as Dan Forester, a former Green Beret in 2022 who is recruited by warriors who have journeyed back in time from the year 2051 to face an invading alien army that has nearly wiped off mankind, Chris Pratt headed the ensemble cast of the 2021 science fiction actioner. McKay's first live-action feature picture received mostly negative reviews, with some positive feedback focused on the performances of Chris Pratt and Sam Richardson, as well as the exciting action set pieces.

The Tomorrow War, which received mixed reviews, became one of the summer's greatest streaming blockbusters, smashing many records on Prime Video and becoming the streamer's most-watched movied, while also outperforming the Fear Street Trilogy on Netflix and Black Widow and Luca on Disney+. Soon after the film's release, discussions began between Skydance and Amazon about making a sequel, with McKay, Pratt, Richardson, Betty Gilpin, Yvonne Strahovski, Edwin Hodge, and J.K. Simmons all being mentioned as possible returning cast members.

McKay's latest post suggests that after two years since the film's premiere and sequel announcement, Dean, who also contributed to the script for Fast X, has began working on The Tomorrow War 2. Although McKay has not yet revealed specific plot points, he has said that the sequel will explore the origins of the White Spikes and the invention of the wormhole device used to travel between the past and the future.

The Way That Tomorrow War Steals an Iconic Space Monster
Reports of The Tomorrow War 2 wanting to resurrect Hodge and Strahovski, despite the fact that Hodge perished in the original film's climax and Strahovski only existed as a future version of Pratt's daughter, suggest more time-travel adventures are in store. It seems plausible that McKay will return as director for the science fiction-focused sequel, given his apparent familiarity with the project's development, and Pratt's continued partnership with Amazon for The Terminal List season 2 further strengthens the likelihood that he will also return to lead the cast.

"It Makes Me Die Laughing": James Bond Casting Director Rebuffs 007 Rumors

Casting director Debbie McWilliams recently shot down speculation about who would play James Bond in the future. Ian Fleming's first Bond novel was published in 1953, and the first Bond picture, Dr. No, starring Sean Connery as the MI6 spy, captivated audiences across the world. Bond has appeared in 25 EON films over the past 60 years, with six actors taking up the role. With the release of No Time to Die, the fifth and final film of Daniel Craig's five-picture stint as 007.

I tune out all of it. Most of the time I just about pass out from laughter. I find it ridiculous that people are even mildly interested in knowing which horses are the bookies' favorites and who is ranked number 15 in such matters. I can only describe it as a "curious phenomenon." The current press, social media, and all that nonsense have made it more noticeable, and there appear to be fanbases for it that I was previously unaware of, but which seem to create a great deal more [debate].

Also, I have a notion that I've mentioned many times before: that when newspapers are short on content, they fill the void with a James Bond story. I don't see why folks can't sit tight and see what happens.

There is a pause in dialogue right now. [Creator of the show] Barbara Broccoli has been quite busy with other endeavors. It's not out of the ordinary for there to be a significant time lapse between successive Bonds; in fact, gaps of up to five years have been documented. That being the case, there is no need to worry.

Critics at the time said the Bond franchise had run its course after Pierce Brosnan's tenure as Bond ended with The World Is Not Enough. Craig's subtle reinvention of the character in Casino Royale (2006) injected much-needed life into the film franchise. However, because his Bond died at the end of No Time to Die, the door is open for a fresh interpretation of the character in the Bond franchise.

Characters like Nomi (Lashana Lynch), the in-universe substitute for 007, and Paloma (Ana de Armas), the scene-stealing rookie CIA agent, introduced in Craig's flicks, allow the brand to continue its most recent Bond tales. Recent statements made by producers Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, however, suggest that a total relaunch of the franchise is in the works. Speculation about who would play James Bond in the years after No Time to Die is rising.

Richard Madden, who stars in Game of Thrones and Eternals, frequently appears at the top of such polls. His performance as a spy in Amazon's upcoming action-thriller series The Citadel, though, may rule him out of contention. Henry Cavill, the original Superman, has also been considered for the part. Producers considering a revival of The Witcher could be put off by his age, though. Broccoli and Wilson may have a plethora of alternatives for a new James Bond, including Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Tom Ellis (Lucifer), and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kickass).

"Let's Dig Some Graves": Fast X Video Hypes Han & Shaw's Tense Reunion

A new Fast X trailer is building anticipation for Han and Shaw's long-awaited showdown after they were kept separated for years. After the end credits of Fast and Furious 6, we were introduced to Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw as the guy who was responsible for Han's "accidental" death in Tokyo Drift by killing Sung Kang's character as revenge for his brother. The Fate of the Furious and Hobbs & Shaw would provide Shaw a chance at atonement, but F9: The Fast Saga revealed that Kang had survived and faked his death with the aid of Kurt Russell's Mr. Nobody.

Universal Pictures has published a new behind-the-scenes Fast X video with a little over a month to go until the film's debut.

The above brief provides more glimpses at the high-stakes action in the forthcoming sequel, with director Louis Leterrier promising a return to the realistic roots of the franchise. The heated meeting between Statham's Shaw and Kang's Han is also highlighted in the Fast X trailer.
Will Han's Case Be Resolved in Fast X?
F9: Han's Revenge

Fans who had fallen in love with Kang's Han in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift soon organized a campaign demanding that the franchise do right by him after the franchise converted Statham's Furious 7 villain Shaw into a hero in the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff starring Statham and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Director Justin Lin, who co-created Han for Better Luck Tomorrow and then introduced him to the Fast and Furious franchise, vowed that his comeback film, F9: The Fast Saga, will pave the way for Han to finally receive justice for his untimely demise.

In the 2021 sequel, it was revealed that Han had faked his death with the aid of Russell's Mr. Nobody, who trusted him after supervising Gal Gadot's Gisele, and that he would reconnect with Dom's team in order to defeat a renegade covert agent and cyberterrorist utilizing a weapons program. In the middle of the credits for F9: The Fast Saga, Han shows up at Shaw's house, and the mostly reformed villain is startled to see him alive.

Rapid X Has Just Totally Destroyed The Movement Seeking Han's Justice
Some viewers may have felt that the character had made a successful comeback after learning of his survival and some of his past, but others may believe that Han needs justice going into the last two films. The two appear to band up in the above trailer and video from Fast X to battle off unknown foes, however whether this alliance holds in the actual film remains to be seen.

"Reunite The Dyad!" Star Wars Fans Want Adam Driver Back As Kylo Ren In New Jedi Order

Many people are hoping that Adam Driver will reprise his role as Kylo Ren in the New Jedi Order film that will star Rey. Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey 15 years after the Skywalker saga's finale in Star Wars: Episode IX — The Last Jedi. After Emperor Palpatine is finally vanquished, the New Jedi Order will recognize Rey as a Jedi Master and entrust her with the task of reconstructing the Jedi Order.

Many Star Wars fans have taken to Twitter to voice their desire for Adam Driver's Kylo Ren to reappear in the upcoming film, New Jedi Order. After their passionate kiss at the end of The Rise of Skywalker, many fans online hope to see the former First Order Supreme Leader and Rey reunite. Here are some comments from devoted readers:

Kylo Ren's absence from New Jedi Order would be strange given how integral he was to Rey's story in the previous films in the trilogy. In the last moments of The Rise of Skywalker, Ben Solo gave up his position as Supreme Leader of the First Order and stopped using the alias Kylo Ren. Ben's corpse dissipates into the Force when he sacrifices himself to save Rey's life after Palpatine's defeat.

Since the events in New Jedi Order take place 15 years after the fall of the Final Order, it seems implausible that Rey would have reconnected with Ben in that time. Ben's death ensured Rey's survival, thus he probably isn't still alive somewhere in the galaxy despite our aspirations to the contrary. If this turns out to be the truth, he may yet make an appearance as a Force ghost in the movie.

However, there is still no proof that the disintegration of Ben's body indicates he is permanently gone. The Star Wars saga has a history of resurrecting dead characters, most notably Darth Maul and the Emperor. Ben's gradual oblivion provides additional evidence of his demise, but there's always the chance that the notorious Star Wars retcon may bring him back. Rey's close relationship with Ben in the second trilogy increases the likelihood that he will join the New Jedi Order in some manner, whether he is alive or dead.
