Superman's cameo in The Flash movie, played by Henry Cavill, has already been filmed.

Henry Cavill has filmed his appearance as Superman in The Flash, but it may not end up in the movie due to a reorganization inside the DCU.

Superman (Henry Cavill) with the Flash (Ezra Miller)

Henry Cavill's cameo as Superman in the forthcoming DC picture The Flash has already been shot.

Man of Steel (2013) marked Cavill's debut as Superman in the DC Cinematic Universe; subsequent films, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017), both saw him return to the character.

For years, Cavill's future with the Man of Steel was in question until he made a cameo appearance in the after-credits sequence in Black Adam this year.

However, James Gunn and Peter Safran, the new co-CEOs of DC Studios, have recently revealed intentions to make some substantial changes to the DC Universe. These changes might involve a significant re-tooling of the DC heroes cast in the early days of the DCEU.

The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, will be the next solo Justice League movie to hit theaters on June 16.

Cavill has reportedly already shot his appearance as Superman for The Flash.

In addition to Jason Momoa's Aquaman making a cameo, Henry Cavill shot his scene back in September.

Studio executives are allegedly debating whether or not to keep Cavill's appearance in the film, given that Gunn and Safran plan to make significant changes to DC in the coming weeks.

Superman's appearance may be scrapped if Gunn and Safran decide to completely remove Henry Cavill's version of the Man of Steel from the DCEU, with the goal of preventing DC from making promises it cannot keep.

No decisions have been made on whether or not Cavill's cameo will be included in The Flash's final edit.

DC still plans to release The Flash, a film that has been in development since 2014, despite the fact that the Justice League's future is unclear at the present.

Though Miller's legal difficulties have caused some concern for the film and Miller's character, and the film's release date has been pushed back multiple times, the June 16 premiere is still still set in stone.

The cameos of Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa, as well as Ben Affleck's Batman, firmly anchor the picture in the present continuity of the DCU and the Justice League.

DC fans were pleased to see Henry Cavill reprise his role as Superman in Black Adam, and his cameo appearance at the film's conclusion was welcomed with much enthusiasm.

Although this might build up Superman's eventual showdown with Black Adam in future DC films, Superman's presence in The Flash could be more comedic in nature.

In Justice League, Clark Kent and Barry Allen had a lighthearted rapport, and the film ended on a comedic note with the two of them racing across the United States.

To What Extent Will Henry Cavill Be Used in Future DC Films?

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, Superman looks up and back in bewilderment.

Due to the publishing of Cavill's Black Adam cameo before Gunn and Safran took over, it should not be seen as a guarantee that Cavill will remain a part of the DCU, especially in light of the several future changes that have been speculated upon.

Despite the excitement around Cavill's comeback, DC's future is unclear due to varying reports about the financial success of Black Adam.

In spite of The Flash's June premiere, viewers may not have to wait long to find out what the new DC Universe will look like, since Gunn and Safran are scheduled to meet with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav next week to lay out their new DCU strategy.
