In Empire Strikes Back, Kenobi insists that Yoda was correct about Leia.

In The Empire Strikes Back, Obi-Wan Kenobi reiterates a recurring theme in Disney's Star Wars films: Yoda was accurate about Leia all those years ago.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

In The Empire Strikes Back, Obi-Wan Kenobi confirms what Yoda said about Leia Organa having "another" hope, continuing a Disney Star Wars theme.

The Skywalker family has been at the heart of the Star Wars narrative for more than 40 years.

Throughout the films, the Skywalker Saga has played a significant role, from Anakin in the prequels through to Rey and Kylo Ren in the sequels.

However, this all began with the original trilogy's principal hero, Luke Skywalker, and his identical twin sister, Princess Leia.

In spite of their divided response among Star Wars fans, Disney's sequel trilogy did allow for a larger emphasis on other heritage characters.

When it comes to the sequel trilogy, Leia Organa earned more than her fair amount of screen time, while Luke Skywalker and Han Solo both underwent emotional arcs in their respective films.

This, together with Obi-Wan Kenobi's reaffirmation, shows Yoda was correct all along concerning the Skywalker sibling.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars: Who Is Playing Leia?

In 1980, one statement sent Star Wars fans into a frenzy of speculation and debate: "No, there is another."

In The Empire Strikes Back, Yoda states this in response to Obi-claim Wan's that Luke is the Rebels' only hope in combating the Galactic Empire.

Many people were baffled as to who Yoda was referring to at the moment.

After three years, the questions were resolved when Luke and Leia's relationship was confirmed in Return of the Jedi.

It's no secret to Yoda that Leia is incredibly important to the Skywalkers and the galaxy as a whole, but in Obi-Wan Kenobi, episode 1, her biological father Bail Organa only serves to underscore this fact.

Bail calls Obi-Wan for aid when Leia is kidnapped by Vect Nehru, saying that Leia is equally as essential to the galaxy as Luke is.

Obi-Wan is spurred into action, leading him to Daiyu and discovering that Anakin/Darth Vader, the father of Leia and Luke, is still alive.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Since acquiring Lucasfilm, Disney has given Leia a lot more screen time.

The princess appears in various episodes of Star Wars: Rebels and was shown to have great force skills in The Last Jedi and was granted her own lightsaber and personal trainer in Luke, as seen in The Rise of Skywalker.

After all, Yoda was right all those years ago when he said that Leia was important.

To Yoda, Leia's importance is comparable to Luke's, which makes sense.

Because his species matures differently, Yoda, who has been around during the High Republic as well as the Clone Wars, is nearly 900 years old at this point.

A large number of Jedi have been taught under Yoda's tutelage as a result!

This shows how important Leia is to the Jedi, even if Yoda has trained countless new Jedi throughout the years.

In Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bail Organa's demands for Leia's help are only strengthened by Disney's extension of the Star Wars world on Disney+.
